Abstract

Provided are an additive represented by Chemical Formula 1, an electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery including the same, and a lithium secondary battery. The details of Chemical Formula 1 are as set forth in the specification.

Claims (44)

1 . An additive represented by Chemical Formula 1:

Wherein, in Chemical Formula 1,

X 1 and X 2 are each independently O or S, and

L 1 and L 2 are each independently O, S, or a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 alkylene group,

R 1 to R 4 are each independently hydrogen, a halogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 acyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2 to C10 alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C10 cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C10 cycloalkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2 to C10 alkynyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C10 cycloalkynyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C20 aryl group,

Y 1 and Y 2 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 acyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2 to C10 alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C10 cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C10 cycloalkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2 to C10 alkynyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C10 cycloalkynyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C20 aryl group, and

n and m are each independently one of integers ranging from 1 to 20.

2 . The additive of claim 1 , wherein

L 1 and L 2 are each independently O or S.

3 . The additive of claim 1 , wherein

Y 1 and Y 2 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 acyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2 to C10 alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2 to C10 alkynyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C20 aryl group.

4 . The additive of claim 1 , wherein

Y 1 and Y 2 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 acyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C20 aryl group.

5 . The additive of claim 1 , wherein

Y 1 and Y 2 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 acyl group.

6 . The additive of claim 1 , wherein

n and m are each independently one of integers ranging from 1 to 10.

7 . The additive of claim 1 , wherein

Chemical Formula 1 is represented by Chemical Formula 1A:

wherein, in Chemical Formula 1A,

Y 1 , Y 2 , R 1 to R 4 , n, and m are as defined in claim 1 .

8 . An electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery, comprising

a non-aqueous organic solvent,

a lithium salt, and

the additive of claim 1 .

9 . The electrolyte of claim 8 , wherein

the additive is included in an amount of 0.1 wt % to 5.0 wt % based on the total weight of the electrolyte for the lithium secondary battery.

10 . A lithium secondary battery comprising

a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material;

a negative electrode including a negative electrode active material; and

the electrolyte for the lithium secondary battery of claim 8 .

11 . The lithium secondary battery of claim 10 , wherein

the positive electrode active material is represented by Chemical Formula 5:

Li x M 1 y M 2 z M 3 1-y-z O 2   [Chemical Formula 5]

wherein, in Chemical Formula 5,

0.5≤x≤1.8, 0<y≤1, 0≤z≤1, 0≤y+z≤1, and M 1 , M 2 , and M 3 are each independently any one selected from a metal of Ni, Co, Mn, Al, Sr, Mg, or La, and a combination thereof.

12 . The lithium secondary battery of claim 10 , wherein

the positive electrode active material is a lithium composite oxide represented by Chemical Formula 5-1 or Chemical Formula 5-2:

Li x1 Ni y1 Co z1 Al 1-y1-z1 O 2   [Chemical Formula 5-1]

wherein, in Chemical Formula 5-1,

1≤x1≤1.2, 0<y1<1, and 0<z1<1, and

Li x2 Ni y2 CO z2 Mn 1-y2-z2 O 2   [Chemical Formula 5-2]

wherein, in Chemical Formula 5-2,

1≤x2≤1.2, 0<y2<1, and 0<z2<1.
