Abstract

In an embodiment a method for implementing a NFC transaction between a mobile terminal and a distant module is disclosed. The terminal includes a processor hosting an application configured to establish the NFC transaction and an interface software configured to execute instructions of the application, a near-field communication module and a secure element distinct from the processor. The method includes requesting, by the application via the interface software, which verifies whether the application is authorized to communicate with the secure element, authorization to implement the NFC transaction from the secure element, sending, by the secure element, a first temporary authorization to the interface software, verifying, by the interface software, at least for a first time when the near-field communication module receives first data from the distant module, whether the interface software has received the first temporary authorization and transmitting, by the interface software, the first data to the application when the interface software has received the first temporary authorization.

Claims (59)

1 . A method for implementing a near field communication (NFC) transaction between a mobile terminal and a distant module, the terminal comprising a processor hosting an application configured to establish the NFC transaction and an interface software configured to execute instructions of the application, an NFC module and a secure element distinct from the processor, the method comprising:

requesting, by the application via the interface software, which verifies whether the application is authorized to communicate with the secure element, authorization to implement the NFC transaction from the secure element;

sending, by the secure element, a first temporary authorization to the interface software;

sending, by the application via the interface software, an instruction to the NFC module;

sending, by the NFC module, the instruction to the distant module;

receiving, by the NFC module, first data from the distant module, the first data comprising secret data;

forwarding, by the NFC module, the first data to the interface software;

verifying, by the interface software, at least for a first time when the NFC module receives the first data from the distant module, whether the interface software has received the first temporary authorization; and

transmitting, by the interface software, the first data to the application when the interface software has received the first temporary authorization.

2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the interface software comprises a primary interface layer, which directly receives the instructions from the application, which converts the instructions into a series of instructions for driving circuits and components of the terminal, and which provides the series of instructions to a control layer.

3 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein the control layer drives the circuits and components of the terminal.

4 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the interface software comprises a filter interface software, and wherein the filter interface software verifies whether the application is authorized to communicate with the secure element.

5 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the application is a system application.

6 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the application is a reliable application having received a permanent authorization to implement the NFC transaction.

7 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the application has received a second temporary authorization to implement the NFC transaction.

8 . The method according to claim 7 , further comprising delivering, by the secure element, the second temporary authorization to a filter interface software being part of the interface software, the secure element having obtained the second temporary authorization from an external server.

9 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein requesting authorization to implement the NFC transaction from the secure element comprises:

sending, by the application, an authorization request to a primary interface layer,

sending, by the primary interface layer, the request to a filter interface software, and

verifying, by the filter interface software, whether the application is authorized to be sent to the secure element.

10 . A mobile terminal comprising:

a processor hosting an application configured to establish a near-field communication (NFC) transaction and an interface software configured to execute instructions of the application;

an NFC module; and

a secure element distinct from the processor,

wherein the application is configured to:

request via the interface software, which is configured to verify whether the application is authorized to communicate with the secure element, authorization to implement the NFC transaction from the secure element, and

send via the interface software an instruction to the NFC module,

wherein the secure element is configured to send a first temporary authorization to the interface software,

wherein the NFC module is configured to:

send the instruction to a distant module,

receive first data from the distant module, the first data comprising secret data, and

forward the first data to the interface software, and

wherein the interface software is configured to:

verify at least for a first time when the NFC module receives the first data from the distant module, whether the interface software has received the first temporary authorization, and

transmit the first data to the application when the interface software has received the first temporary authorization.

11 . The terminal according to claim 10 , wherein the interface software comprises a primary interface layer and a control layer, the primary interface layer being configured to:

directly receive the instructions from the application,

convert the instructions into a series of instructions for driving circuits and components of the terminal, and

provide the series of instructions to the control layer.

12 . The terminal according to claim 11 , wherein the control layer is configured to drive the circuits and components of the terminal.

13 . The terminal according to claim 10 , wherein the interface software comprises a filter interface software, and wherein the filter interface software is configured to verify whether the application is authorized to communicate with the secure element.

14 . The terminal according to claim 10 , wherein the application is a system application.

15 . The terminal according to claim 10 , wherein the application is a reliable application having received a permanent authorization to implement the NFC transaction.

16 . The terminal according to claim 10 , wherein the application has received a second temporary authorization to implement the NFC transaction.

17 . The terminal according to claim 16 , wherein the secure element is configured to deliver the second temporary authorization to a filter interface software being part of the interface software, the secure element having obtained the second temporary authorization from an external server.

18 . The mobile terminal according to claim 10 , wherein the application is configured to request authorization to implement the NFC transaction from the secure element comprises wherein the application is configured to send an authorization request to a primary interface layer, wherein the primary interface layer is configured to send the request to a filter interface software, and wherein the filter interface software is configured to verify whether the application is authorized to be sent to the secure element.

19 . A method for implementing a near-field communication (NFC) transaction between a mobile terminal and a distant module, the terminal comprising a processor hosting an application configured to establish the NFC transaction and an interface software configured to execute instructions of the application, an NFC module and a secure element distinct from the processor, the method comprising:

requesting, by the application via the interface software, which verifies whether the application is authorized to communicate with the secure element, authorization to implement the NFC transaction from the secure element;

sending, by the secure element, a first temporary authorization to the interface software;

sending, by the application via the interface software, an instruction to the NFC module;

sending, by the NFC module, the instruction to the distant module;

receiving, by the NFC module, first data from the distant module, the first data comprising secret data;

forwarding, by the NFC module, the first data to the interface software;
