Abstract

This disclosure pertains to a method of operating a user equipment in a radio access network. The method includes transmitting acknowledgement information reporting on subject transmissions associated to one or more subject transmission slots based on a HARQ codebook. The HARQ codebook indicates a bit pattern of the acknowledgement information. Moreover, the HARQ codebook is based on a first numerology, the first numerology being used for the subject transmissions in a first communication direction, and a second numerology, the second numerology being used for transmitting the acknowledgement information in a second communication direction, wherein a first slot duration associated with the first numerology is different from a second slot duration associated with the second numerology. There are also disclosed related methods and devices.

Claims (45)

1 . A method of operating a user equipment in a radio access network, the method comprising:

transmitting, to a signaling radio node, acknowledgement information reporting on subject transmissions associated to one or more subject transmission slots based on a HARQ codebook;

the HARQ codebook indicating a bit pattern of the acknowledgement information; and

the HARQ codebook being based on a first numerology, the first numerology being used for the subject transmissions in a first communication direction, and a second numerology, the second numerology being used for transmitting the acknowledgement information in a second communication direction, a first slot duration associated with the first numerology being different from a second slot duration associated with the second numerology, the first slot duration being shorter than the second slot duration.

2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein a subject transmission slot corresponds to a slot according to the first numerology, for which a bit subpattern of the bit pattern may be configured to be reserved.

3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the bit pattern comprises bit subpatterns, wherein a bit subpattern corresponds to a slot according to the first numerology.

4 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the HARQ codebook is based on a set of slot timings, wherein a slot timing is indicated relative to a slot according to the second numerology.

5 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein:

one of:

a slot in the second communication direction corresponds to one or more slots in the first communication direction; and

a slot in the first communication direction corresponds to one or more slots in the second communication direction,

depending on numerology.

6 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the bit pattern comprises a bit subpattern associated to each subject transmission slot.

7 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the codebook comprises for a set of M slot timings at least max(2 m1-m2 ,1)*M subpatterns, wherein m1 represents a subcarrier spacing of the first numerology according to 2 m1 *15 kHz, and m2 represents the subcarrier spacing of the second numerology according to 2 m2 *15 kHz.

8 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein acknowledgement information pertaining to subject transmission slots corresponding to the same slot in the second communication direction is bundled.

9 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the HARQ codebook is based on a subset of a set of slot timings, the subset being based on the slot used for transmission of the acknowledgement information.

10 . A non-transitory computer storage medium storing computer program instructions configured to cause processing circuitry to at least one of control and perform a method of operating a user equipment in a radio access network, the method comprising:

transmitting acknowledgement information reporting on subject transmissions associated to one or more subject transmission slots based on a HARQ codebook;

the HARQ codebook indicating a bit pattern of the acknowledgement information; and

the HARQ codebook being based on a first numerology, the first numerology being used for the subject transmissions in a first communication direction, and a second numerology, the second numerology being used for transmitting the acknowledgement information in a second communication direction, a first slot duration associated with the first numerology being different from a second slot duration associated with the second numerology, the first slot duration being shorter than the second slot duration.

11 . A user equipment for a radio access network, the user equipment comprising:

a transceiver;

a processing circuitry in communication with the transceiver, the processing circuitry being configured to:

cause transmission of acknowledgement information reporting on subject transmissions associated to one or more subject transmission slots based on a HARQ codebook;

the HARQ codebook indicating a bit pattern of the acknowledgement information; and

the HARQ codebook being based on a first numerology, the first numerology being used for the subject transmissions in a first communication direction, and a second numerology, the second numerology being used for transmitting the acknowledgement information in a second communication direction, a first slot duration associated with the first numerology being different from a second slot duration associated with the second numerology.

12 . A method of operating a signaling radio node in a radio access network, the method comprising:

receiving, from a user equipment, acknowledgement information reporting on subject transmissions associated to one or more subject transmission slots based on a HARQ codebook;

the HARQ codebook indicating a bit pattern of the acknowledgement information; and

the HARQ codebook being based on a first numerology, the first numerology being used for the subject transmissions in a first communication direction, and a second numerology, the second numerology being used for transmitting the acknowledgement information in a second communication direction, a first slot duration associated with the first numerology being different from a second slot duration associated with the second numerology, and the first slot duration being shorter than the second slot duration.

13 . The method according to claim 12 , wherein a subject transmission slot corresponds to a slot according to the first numerology, for which a bit subpattern of the bit pattern may be configured to be reserved.

14 . The method according to claim 12 , wherein the bit pattern comprises bit subpatterns, wherein a bit subpattern corresponds to a slot according to the first numerology.

15 . The method according to claim 12 , wherein the HARQ codebook is based on a set of slot timings, wherein a slot timing is indicated relative to a slot according to the second numerology.

16 . The method according to claim 12 , wherein:

one of:

a slot in the second communication direction corresponds to one or more slots in the first communication direction; and

a slot in the first communication direction corresponds to one or more slots in the second communication direction,

depending on numerology.

17 . The method according to claim 12 , wherein the bit pattern comprises a bit subpattern associated to each subject transmission slot.

18 . A signalling radio node for a radio access network, the signaling radio node comprising:

a transceiver;

a processing circuitry in communication with the transceiver, the processing circuitry configured to:
