Abstract

A display apparatus including a display area for displaying an image and a peripheral area that is a non-display area includes a base substrate, a first data line disposed in the display area on the base substrate, a first connecting line at least partially disposed in the display area on the base substrate and electrically connected to the first data line through a connection contact hole, a data pad disposed in the peripheral area, and a first data spider line disposed in the peripheral area between the data pad and the display area and electrically connected to the first connecting line and the data pad.

Claims (40)

1 . A display apparatus including a display area for displaying an image and a peripheral area that is a non-display area, the display apparatus comprising:

a base substrate;

a first data line disposed in the display area on the base substrate;

a second data line disposed in the display area on the base substrate while being adjacent to the first data line in a first direction, the first data line and the second data line each extending in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction;

a first connecting line partially disposed in the display area on the base substrate and electrically connected to the first data line through a first connection contact hole;

a second connecting line partially disposed in the display area on the base substrate and electrically connected to the second data line through a second connection contact hole spaced apart from the first connection contact hole in a diagonal direction that is between the first direction and the second direction;

a data pad disposed in the peripheral area and electrically connected to a data driving chip;

a first data spider line disposed in the peripheral area between the data pad and the display area and electrically connected to the first connecting line and the data pad; and

a second data spider line disposed in the peripheral area between the data pad and the display area and electrically connected to the second connecting line and the data pad while being adjacent to the first data spider line in the first direction.

2 . The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the second connection contact hole is adjacent to the first connection contact hole in the first direction in the display area.

3 . The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first connecting line is electrically connected to the first data spider line through a first spider contact hole, and the second connecting line is electrically connected to the second data spider line through a second spider contact hole.

4 . The display apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the second spider contact hole is adjacent to the first spider contact hole in the first direction in the peripheral area.

5 . The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the base substrate is a flexible substrate,

wherein the display apparatus further comprises a bending area disposed between the data pad and the display area and extending in the first direction, and

wherein each of the first and second data spider lines is disposed in the peripheral area between the bending area and the display area and linearly extends in the second direction.

6 . The display apparatus of claim 5 , wherein a length of the bending area in the first direction is smaller than a length of the display area in the first direction.

7 . The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the peripheral area includes a left peripheral area adjacent to a left side of the display area, a right peripheral area adjacent to a right side of the display area, an upper peripheral area adjacent to an upper side of the display area, and a lower peripheral area adjacent to a lower side of the display area, and

wherein the data pad is disposed in the lower peripheral area.

8 . A display apparatus including a display area for displaying an image and a peripheral area that is a non-display area, the display apparatus comprising:

a base substrate;

a first data line disposed in the display area on the base substrate, and extending in a second direction;

a second data line disposed in the display area on the base substrate, extending in the second direction, and adjacent to the first data line in a first direction that is perpendicular to the second direction;

a first connecting line partially disposed in the display area on the base substrate and electrically connected to the first data line through a first connection contact hole;

a second connecting line partially disposed in the display area on the base substrate and electrically connected to the second data line through a second connection contact hole;

a data pad disposed in the peripheral area and electrically connected to a data driving chip;

a first data spider line disposed in the peripheral area between the data pad and the display area and electrically connected to the first connecting line and the data pad; and

a second data spider line disposed in the peripheral area between the data pad and the display area and electrically connected to the second connecting line and the data pad while being adjacent to the first data spider line in the first direction,

wherein each of the first and second connecting lines includes a first portion extending in the second direction, and a second portion connected to the first portion and extending in the first direction.

9 . The display apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the first portion of the first connecting line is electrically connected to the first data spider line, and the second portion of the first connecting line is electrically connected to the first data line, and

wherein the first portion of the second connecting line is electrically connected to the second data spider line, and the second portion of the second connecting line is electrically connected to the second data line.

10 . A display apparatus including a display area for displaying an image and a peripheral area that is a non-display area, the display apparatus comprising:

a base substrate;

a first data line disposed in the display area on the base substrate;

a second data line disposed in the display area on the base substrate while being adjacent to the first data line in a first direction;

a first connecting line partially disposed in the display area on the base substrate and electrically connected to the first data line through a first connection contact hole;

a second connecting line partially disposed in the display area on the base substrate and electrically connected to the second data line through a second connection contact hole;

a data pad disposed in the peripheral area and electrically connected to a data driving chip;

a first data spider line disposed in the peripheral area between the data pad and the display area and electrically connected to the first connecting line and the data pad;
