Abstract

Techniques described herein are related to updating streaming application software. For example, data from the streaming application software are transformed into a format for an engine to generate one or more results. The one or more results may comprise information related to the data from the streaming application software.

Claims (42)

1 . A method comprising:

receiving an indication of a search initiation condition associated with a data streaming application, the search initiation condition comprising a keystroke, a series of keystrokes, a video input to a device displaying the data streaming application associated with a defined movement of a body, an audio input to the device displaying the data streaming application associated with a defined sound, or any combination thereof;

generating a log file comprising data from the data streaming application based on the search initiation condition;

identifying a portion of data in the log file based on the portion of data being within a word count of the indication of the search initiation condition, a paragraph count of the search initiation condition, a letter count of the search initiation condition, or a threshold amount of time from a timestamp corresponding to the indication of the search initiation condition;

transforming the portion of the data to text via natural language processing (NLP);

generating a search query, based at least in part on the text, to be executed by one or more search engines; and

obtaining one or more search results from the one or more search engines based on the search query.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more search results comprise a definition of the portion of data.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more search results comprise content related to the portion of data.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data from the data streaming application comprises audio data.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising causing the one or more search results to be displayed in the data streaming application.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the portion of data from the data streaming application comprises an image or one or more video frames.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the portion of data from the data streaming application comprises words or text contained in the image or the one or more video frames.

8 . A system comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory including computer-executable instructions that, if executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to:

receive an indication of a search initiation condition associated with a data streaming application, the search initiation condition comprising a keystroke, a series of keystrokes, a video input to a device displaying the data streaming application associated with a defined movement of a body, an audio input to the device displaying the data streaming application associated with a defined sound, or any combination thereof,

generate a log file comprising data from the data streaming application based on the search initiation condition;

identify a portion of data in the log file based on the portion of data being within a word count of the indication of the search initiation condition, a paragraph count of the search initiation condition, a letter count of the search initiation condition, or a threshold amount of time from a timestamp corresponding to the indication of the search initiation condition;

transform the portion of data to text via natural language processing (NLP);

generate a search query, based at least in part on the text, to be executed by one or more search engines; and

obtain one or more search results from the one or more search engines based on the search query.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more search results comprise a definition of the portion of data.

10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more search results are generated based, at least in part, on content related to the portion of data.

11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the computer-executable instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the one or more user devices to receive the one or more search results while using the data streaming application.

12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the computer-executable instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the system to identify the one or more search engines from a plurality of search engines, wherein the transformation of the data is based on the identified one or more search engines.

13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the computer-executable instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the system to:

determine a context associated with the data streaming application; and

generate the search query, based on the text and the context.

14 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the computer-executable instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the one or more user devices to display the one or more search results in the data streaming application by causing the one or more user devices to display a pop-up, a feature window, a headline, a subtext, a footnote, an image, a video, or any combination thereof.

15 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon executable instructions which, when executed by one or more processors of a computer system, cause the computer system to:

receive an indication of a search initiation condition associated with a data streaming application, the search initiation condition comprising a keystroke, a series of keystrokes, a video input to a device displaying the data streaming application associated with a defined movement of a body, an audio input to the device displaying the data streaming application associated with a defined sound, or any combination thereof;

generate a log file comprising data from the data streaming application based on the search initiation condition;

identify a portion of data in the log file based on the portion of data being within a word count of the indication of the search initiation condition, a paragraph count of the search initiation condition, a letter count of the search initiation condition, or a threshold amount of time from a timestamp corresponding to the indication of the search initiation condition;

transform the portion of data to text via natural language processing (NLP);

generate a search query, based at least in part on the text, to be executed by one or more search engines; and

obtain one or more search results from the one or more search engines based on the search query.

16 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more search results comprise a meaning of the portion of data.

17 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more search results are generated to include content related to the portion of data.

18 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the data from the data streaming application comprises data from a video conference.

19 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more search results are provided as one or more images to a user device.

20 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the portion of data from the data streaming application is confirmed based on a selection of data after the indication of the search initiation condition.
