Abstract

A swimming pool cover is provided, including a flexible covering layer used to enclose and cover a pool; a tightening strap is disposed around the flexible covering layer; and a tensioning device, which includes a retaining support and a tensioning support pivotally connected, and a first elastic limiting member is disposed on the retaining support, a second elastic limiting member is disposed on the tensioning support; a winding shaft portion extends through a pivot connection between the retaining support and the tensioning support; a one-way ratchet is disposed on the winding shaft portion. By rotating the tensioning support, the winding shaft portion has a locked state and a winding state. The tightening strap is wound by rotation of the winding shaft portion, thereby tightening the covering layer around an outer side wall of the pool, overcoming the excessive manual force needed in conventional V-shaped arm mechanisms.
