Abstract

Labels have visible color holographic quick response 9 CHQR) faces and hidden coded radio frequency (RF) antennas on their rear surfaces. RF coding provides evidence of tampering and adds active bi-directional flow of information between the label and label readers. RFCHQR labels provide authentication and update information in memory slots.

Claims (22)

1 . Apparatus comprising a label having a color holographic quick response code and a radio frequency antenna; wherein

the radio frequency antenna is connected to a radio frequency transceiver located on or within the label; and wherein

the label is configured to store information transmitted from optical and/or radio frequency devices, which information can be read from the label by said devices;

said information can be encrypted, and can be used to securely verify the authenticity of the process.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the color holographic quick response code is on a face of the label and the radio frequency antenna is on a back of the label.

3 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein plural different color holographic quick responses codes are on the face of the label.

4 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein plural distinct antennas are positioned on a back of the label.

5 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein plural distinct antennas are connected with the label.

6 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the plural distinct antennas are radio frequency identification antennas.

7 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the plural radio frequency identification antennas have different combinations of spatial, spectral and temporal operation.

8 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the code color palette of the color holographic quick response code is changeable.

9 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the color palette of the color holographic quick response code is changeable by an invertible transformation.

10 . The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the invertible transformation is encrypted on RFID, Radio Frequency Identification in the RF antennas.

11 . The apparatus of claim 1 , comprising a label having a color holographic quick response code and a radio frequency antenna; wherein the label is configured to be actively linked to the optical and/or radio frequency devices.

12 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the label is configured to be actively linked to the optical and/or radio frequency devices via Bluetooth.

13 . A method for interactively tracking, monitoring, storing, and/or verifying changes made to a product during a manufacturing process, the method comprising providing a visible color holographic quick response label with a radio frequency antenna connected to the label, wherein

the label is configured to store information transmitted from optical and/or radio frequency devices, which information can be read from the label by said devices;

said information can be encrypted, and can be used to securely verify the authenticity of the process.

14 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising the possible wherein the color holographic quick response labels are provided with color palettes of quick response codes with inverse transformations controlled by the radio frequency antennas connected to the labels.

15 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising providing pixels of the color holographic quick response code with pixels which are transformable and invertible stored in the radio frequency identification.

16 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising storing pixel transformation information in radio frequency identification activated by signals from radio frequency antennas.

17 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising changing color palettes at each supply chain by invertible transformation controlled at each supply chain by encrypted radio frequency identification and individual radio frequency antennas.
