Deuterium-enriched ondansetron
The present application describes deuterium-enriched ondansetron, pharmaceutically acceptable salt forms thereof, and methods of treating using the same.
1. A deuterium-enriched compound of formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof:

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein R 1 -R 7 and R 9 -R 19 are independently selected from H and D and R 8 is D and the abundance of deuterium in R 8 is 100%.
2. A pharmaceutical composition, comprising: a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of claim 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
3. A method for treating chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting comprising: administering, to a patient in need thereof, a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of claim 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
4. A compound of claim 1 , wherein the compound is compound 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
5. A compound of claim 1 , wherein the compound is compound 2 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
6. A compound of claim 1 , wherein the compound is compound 3 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
7. A compound of claim 1 , wherein the compound is compound 4 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
8. A compound of claim 1 , wherein the compound is compound 5 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
9. A compound of claim 1 , wherein the compound is compound 6 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
10. A pharmaceutical composition of claim 2 , wherein the compound is compound 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
11. A pharmaceutical composition of claim 2 , wherein the compound is compound 2 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
12. A pharmaceutical composition of claim 2 , wherein the compound is compound 3 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
