Abstract

An information recording medium in which bottoms of a guide groove and a pit array formed on a disc substrate are allocated on a same flat plane and shaped in flat. Further, in a transition area from a pit array to a guide groove or from a guide groove to a pit array, the information recording medium is provided with an intermediate area composed of a pit array of which height changes from a height between a bottom and a side of a groove to another height between the bottom and a side of the pit array.

Claims (26)

1. An information recording medium having an information track formed spirally comprising:

a first intermediate area in which information is formed in a track as a first emboss;

a first read only area in which control data is formed as the first emboss so as to control user information, allocated in succession to the first intermediate area;

a second read only area in which information is formed in a track as a second emboss different from the first emboss;

an information track area; and

a second intermediate area for continuously connecting tracks between the first read only area and the second read only area allocated between the first read only area and the second read only area,

wherein a tracking error signal of the second intermediate area is regulated as an amplitude ratio of a tracking error signal of the information track area.

2. A reproducing method for reproducing the information recording medium in accordance with claim 1 , the reproducing method comprising:

reproducing the user information recorded in the information track area on the basis of reproducing the control data.

3. A reproducing apparatus for reproducing the information recording medium in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the reproducing apparatus reproduces the user information recorded in the information track area on the basis of reproducing the control data.

4. A recording method for recording information on the information recording medium in accordance with claim 1 , the recording method comprising:

recording user information in the information track area on the basis of reproducing the control data.

5. A recording apparatus for recording information on the information recording medium in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the recording apparatus records user information in the information track area on the basis of reproducing the control data.

6. An information recording medium having an information track formed spirally comprising:

a first intermediate area in which information is formed in a track as a first emboss;

a first read only area in which control data is formed as the first emboss so as to control user information, allocated in succession to the first intermediate area;

a second read only area in which information is formed in a track as a second emboss different from the first emboss;

an information track area; and

a second intermediate area for continuously connecting tracks between the first read only area and the second read only area allocated between the first read only area and the second read only area,

wherein a push-pull signal of the second intermediate area is regulated as an amplitude ratio of a push-pull signal of the information track area.

7. A reproducing method for reproducing the information recording medium in accordance with claim 6 , the reproducing method comprising:

reproducing the user information recorded in the information track area on the basis of reproducing the control data.

8. A reproducing apparatus for reproducing the information recording medium in accordance with claim 6 , wherein the reproducing apparatus reproduces the user information recorded in the information track area on the basis of reproducing the control data.

9. A recording method for recording information on the information recording medium in accordance with claim 6 , the recording method comprising:

recording user information in the information track area on the basis of reproducing the control data.

10. A recording apparatus for recording information on the information recording medium in accordance with claim 6 , wherein the recording apparatus records user information in the information track area on the basis of reproducing the control data.
