Methods and compositions for use in cellular therapies
The present invention provides methods for the intralymphatic administration of cellular therapies. Further aspects of the invention provide compositions, kits and uses thereof related to such methods.
1. A method for treatment of immune-mediated inflammatory disorders, in a subject having one or more symptoms associated with said disorders, which comprises direct delivery to a lymphatic organ of said subject a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising mesenchymal stem cells.
2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the composition is administered to a peripheral lymphatic organ.
3. The method of claim 2 wherein said peripheral lymphatic organ is a lymph node.
4. The method of claim 3 wherein said lymph node is an axillary or inguinal lymph node.
5. The method of claim 1 wherein said administration is carried out by means of a syringe.
6. The method of claim 5 , further comprising the step of using a radiological, ultrasound or imaging device to monitor the location of an injection needle.
7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the disorder is selected from the group consisting of rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and multiple sclerosis.
8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the mesenchymal stem cells are adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells.
9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the mesenchymal stem cells are bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells.
