Abstract

When a chamber of an oscillator and one or more amplifiers is to be replaced at the timing when a predetermined period elapses, one of the chambers of the oscillator and the amplifiers having a low allowable deterioration limit is detached and this chamber is attached in place of one of the chambers of the oscillator and the amplifiers other than the one having the low allowable deterioration limit. Thus, the chamber which has been used in one of the oscillator and amplifiers having a low allowable deterioration limit and has not reached the limit of deterioration is reused in one of the oscillator and the amplifiers other than the one having the low allowable deterioration limit. This enables efficient use of oscillator and amplifier chambers in a multistage amplification laser apparatus, minimizing the labor and parts consumed for replacement thereof.

Claims (27)

1. A chamber replacing method for use in a laser apparatus including an oscillator having an oscillator chamber and an amplifier having an amplifier chamber, the method comprising:

detaching the amplifier chamber from the amplifier;

attaching a new chamber to the oscillator; and

after detaching the amplifier chamber from the amplifier, attaching to the amplifier the oscillator chamber detached from the oscillator.

2. The chamber replacing method of claim 1 , wherein the oscillator chamber and the amplifier chamber include same configuration.

3. The chamber replacing method of claim 1 , wherein a certain number of laser shots is preset in the oscillator chamber and chamber replacement is performed every time the number of laser shots reaches the certain number.

4. The chamber replacing method of claim 1 , wherein the new chamber is a recycled chamber obtained by overhauling.

5. The chamber replacing method of claim 4 , further comprising cleaning an interior of a used chamber and replacing parts thereof to obtain the new chamber by overhauling.

6. The chamber replacing method of claim 1 , wherein the new chamber includes a brand-new chamber.

7. A chamber replacing method for use in a laser apparatus comprising two chambers including common parts, the method comprising:

detaching one of the two chambers from the laser apparatus;

using the other of the two chambers again in the laser apparatus instead of the detached chamber; and

attaching a new chamber to the laser apparatus.

8. The chamber replacing method of claim 7 , wherein a certain number of laser shots is preset in at least one of the two chambers and chamber replacement is performed every time the number of laser shots reaches the certain number.

9. The chamber replacing method of claim 7 , wherein the new chamber is a recycled chamber obtained by overhauling.

10. The chamber replacing method of claim 9 , further comprising cleaning an interior of a used chamber and replacing parts thereof to obtain the new chamber by overhauling.

11. The chamber replacing method of claim 7 , wherein the new chamber includes a brand-new chamber.

12. A chamber replacing method for use in a laser apparatus comprising an oscillator having an oscillator chamber and an amplifier having an amplifier chamber, the method comprising:

detaching the oscillator chamber from the oscillator;

attaching a new chamber to the oscillator;

detaching the amplifier from the amplifier; and

attaching to the amplifier the oscillator chamber detached from the oscillator.

13. The chamber replacing method of claim 12 , wherein the oscillator chamber and the amplifier chamber include same configuration.

14. The chamber replacing method of claim 12 , wherein a certain number of laser shots is preset in the oscillator chamber and chamber replacement is performed every time the number of laser shots reaches the certain number.

15. The chamber replacing method of claim 12 , wherein the new chamber is a recycled chamber obtained by overhauling.

16. The chamber replacing method of claim 15 , further comprising cleaning an interior of a used chamber and replacing parts thereof to obtain the new chamber by overhauling.

17. The chamber replacing method of claim 12 , wherein the new chamber includes a brand-new chamber.
