Patent
The present invention discloses isolated nucleic acid molecules encoding a hyperimmune serum reactive antigen or a fragment thereof as well as hyperimmune serum reactive antigens or fragments thereof from S. agalactiae , and methods for isolating such antigens and specific uses thereof.
1. An isolated antibody or an effective part thereof, which specifically binds to a fragment of a Streptococcus agalactiae polypeptide comprising SEQ ID NO: 364, wherein the fragment comprises an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of the amino acids 399-417, 503-519, or 489-556 of SEQ ID NO: 364, wherein said antibody is a humanized antibody, a chimeric antibody, or a single chain antibody.
2. The antibody of claim 1 , wherein the effective part of the antibody comprises a Fab fragment.
3. The antibody of claim 1 , wherein the antibody is produced by a hybridoma cell line.
4. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the antibody according to claim 1 .
5. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 4 , wherein the pharmaceutical composition further comprises at least one or more antibodies against other S. agalactiae polypeptides or fragments thereof.
6. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 4 , wherein the pharmaceutical composition further comprises at least one or more antibodies which specifically binds to polypeptides or fragments thereof from other pathogens.
7. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 4 , wherein the pharmaceutical composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or excipient.
8. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the antibody according to claim 2 .
9. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 8 , wherein the pharmaceutical composition further comprises at least one or more antibodies against other S. agalactiae polypeptides or fragments thereof.
10. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 8 , wherein the pharmaceutical composition further comprises at least one or more antibodies which specifically binds to polypeptides or fragments thereof from other pathogens.
11. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 8 , wherein the pharmaceutical composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or excipient.
