Device, method, and storage medium storing program

1. A device, comprising:

a touch screen display configured to

display a home screen where a plurality of icons are arranged, and

detect a first dynamic gesture over a partial area of the home screen displayed on the touch screen display; and

a controller configured to, responsive to detection of the first dynamic gesture, change an amount of information of the plurality of icons according to a change in a size of the plurality of icons when the area of the home screen including the plurality of icons to be displayed on the touch screen display is enlarged or reduced,

wherein at least one icon among the plurality of icons includes a graphic and text; and

wherein the controller is configured to, responsive to detection of the first dynamic gesture over an area of the home screen in which the at least one icon including the graphic and the text is arranged, enlarge the text without enlarging the graphic when the area of the home screen, in which the at least one icon is arranged and which is to be displayed on the touch screen display, is reduced.

2. The device according to claim 1 , wherein,

when a second dynamic gesture is performed on the partial area of the home screen displayed on the touch screen display,

the controller is configured to change the area of the home screen to be displayed on the touch screen display.

3. The device according to claim 2 , wherein,

when the second dynamic gesture is performed on the partial area of the home screen displayed on the touch screen display,

the controller is configured to change the area of the home screen to be displayed on the touch screen display sheet by sheet corresponding to a size of the partial area.

4. The device according to claim 2 , wherein,

when the second dynamic gesture is performed on the partial area of the home screen displayed on the touch screen display,

the controller is configured to change the area of the home screen to be displayed on the touch screen display block by block corresponding to a size of the icons arranged in the partial area.

5. The device according to claim 1 , wherein

the controller is configured to, responsive to detection of the first dynamic gesture over the partial area of the home screen displayed on the touch screen display, enlarge or reduce the partial area of the home screen by changing a proportion of the partial area to the home screen.

6. The device according to claim 1 , wherein

the controller is configured to, responsive to detection of the first dynamic gesture over the partial area of the home screen displayed on the touch screen display, enlarge or reduce the partial area of the home screen while keeping a size of an area of the touch screen display where the partial area of the home screen is displayed substantially constant.

7. The device according to claim 1 , wherein

the controller is configured to, responsive to detection of the first dynamic gesture over the partial area of the home screen displayed on the touch screen display, adjust a size of the partial area of the home screen so that the icons in the partial area are not displayed partially.

8. The device according to claim 1 , wherein

the controller is configured to, responsive to detection of the first dynamic gesture over an area of the home screen in which an icon among the plurality of icons is arranged,

display information related to an application associated with the icon when a size of the area of the home screen, which includes the icon and which is to be displayed on the touch screen display, is reduced more than a predetermined threshold, and

not display the information related to the application associated with the icon when the size of the area of the home screen, which includes the icon and which is to be displayed on the touch screen display, is enlarged more than the predetermined threshold.

9. The device according to claim 1 , wherein

the controller is configured to, responsive to detection of the first dynamic gesture over the area of the home screen in which the at least one icon including the graphic and the text is arranged, reduce the graphic without reducing the text, when the area of the home screen, in which the at least one icon is arranged and which is to be displayed on the touch screen display, is enlarged.

10. A method for controlling a device with a touch screen display, the method comprising:

displaying a home screen where a plurality of icons are arranged on the touch screen display;

detecting a first dynamic gesture over a partial area of the home screen displayed on the touch screen display; and

responsive to detection of the first dynamic gesture, changing an amount of information of the plurality of icons according to a change in a size of the plurality of icons when the area of the home screen including the plurality of icons to be displayed on the touch screen display is enlarged or reduced,

wherein at least one icon among the plurality of icons includes a graphic and text; and

wherein said changing comprises, responsive to detection of the first dynamic gesture over an area of the home screen in which the at least one icon including the graphic and the text is arranged, enlarging the text without enlarging the graphic when the area of the home screen, in which the at least one icon is arranged and which is to be displayed on the touch screen display, is reduced.

11. A non-transitory storage medium that stores a program for causing, when executed by a device with a touch screen display, the device to execute:

displaying a home screen where a plurality of icons are arranged on the touch screen display;

detecting a first dynamic gesture over a partial area of the home screen displayed on the touch screen display; and

responsive to detection of the first dynamic gesture, changing an amount of information of the plurality of icons according to a change in a size of the plurality of icons when the area of the home screen including the plurality of icons to be displayed on the touch screen display is enlarged or reduced,

wherein at least one icon among the plurality of icons includes a graphic and text; and

wherein said changing comprises, responsive to detection of the first dynamic gesture over an area of the home screen in which the at least one icon including the graphic and the text is arranged, enlarging the text without enlarging the graphic when the area of the home screen, in which the at least one icon is arranged and which is to be displayed on the touch screen display, is reduced.

12. A device, comprising:

a touch screen display configured to

display a home screen where a plurality of icons are arranged, and

detect a first dynamic gesture over a partial area of the home screen displayed on the touch screen display; and

a controller configured to, responsive to detection of the first dynamic gesture, change an amount of information of the plurality of icons according to a change in a size of the plurality of icon

wherein at least one icon among the plurality of icons includes a graphic and text; and

wherein the controller is configured to, responsive to detection of the first dynamic gesture over an area of the home screen in which the at least one icon including the graphic and the text is arranged, enlarge the text without enlarging the graphic when the at least one icon is enlarged.
