Pyrimidine compounds and pyrimido indole compounds and methods of use
The present invention discloses a compound comprising the formula: wherein R is hydrogen or an alkyl group having from one to ten carbon atoms, or a compound of the formula wherein the S is replaced by CH 2 , and optionally comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, hydrate, or solvate thereof. A method of treating a patient having cancer or a disease comprising administering to a patient an effective amount of the compound or pharmaceutically acceptable salt, hydrate, or solvate thereof.

and optionally comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or hydrate thereof.
2. A compound of the formula:
wherein R is an alkyl group having from one to ten carbon atoms, NH 2 , I, or CN, and optionally comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or hydrate thereof.
3. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the formula:
and optionally comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or hydrate thereof.
4. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the formula:
wherein R is an alkyl group having from one to ten carbon atoms, NH 2 , I, or CN, and optionally comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or hydrate thereof.
5. The pharmaceutical composition of claims 3 or 4 comprising at least one pharmaceutical carrier.
