PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER GENERATION SYSTEM AND METHOD

Abstract

A photovoltaic power generation system and method, relating to the technical field of photovoltaic power generation. The system comprises: an inverter (103), a controller and at least two direct-current branches, each direct-current branch comprising: a DC-DC converter (102) and a leakage current detection device (101), wherein the leakage current detection device (101) is used for detecting the leakage current of the direct-current branch where the leakage current detection device is located, and sending the leakage current to the controller; the controller is used for determining, according to the magnitude and direction of the leakage current of each direct-current branch, that there is a direct-current branch with an insulation fault before the photovoltaic power generation system is running; and the controller is further used to determine, when the photovoltaic power generation system is running, that the direct-current branch has an insulation fault when the magnitude of the leakage current of the direct-current branch exceeds a pre-set range. The system can be used to determine a direct-current branch with an insulation fault in a photovoltaic power generation system, so that measures can be taken in a timely manner for the direct-current branch with an insulation fault so as to eliminate potential safety hazards.
