Abstract

Methods, systems, and products provide communications services. A request for communications service is received at a service provider and a best-value scenario is determined. Packets of data are subcontracted to another service provider to receive a subcontracted processing service. A result of the subcontracted processing service is incorporated in the best-value scenario, and the communications service is provided to fulfill the request for communications service.

Claims (40)

1. A method, comprising:

receiving a request for communications service at a service provider;

determining a subcontracted processing service is desired in a best-value scenario for fulfilling the request for the communications service, wherein the best-value scenario is determined based on segmentation, dispersion, assemblage, and routing of data to fulfill the request for the communications service;

subcontracting a portion of the request for the communications service comprising packets of data over a communications network to another service provider to receive the subcontracted processing service according to the best-value scenario;

receiving a result of the subcontracted processing service provided by the another service provider;

incorporating the result of the subcontracted processing service with processing service provided by the service provider in accordance with the best-value scenario for fulfilling the request for the communications service; and

providing the communications service to fulfill the request for the communications service.

2. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising assessing an availability of a network to fulfill the request for the communications service.

3. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising assessing an availability of routing within a network to fulfill the request for the communications service.

4. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising assessing availability of a network associated with the another service provider.

5. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising assessing an availability of bandwidth in a network to fulfill the request for the communications service.

6. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the best-value scenario maximizes profitability.

7. The method according to claim 1 , wherein determining the best-value scenario comprises reducing a cost of fulfilling the request for the communications service.

8. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising querying for a service level agreement associated with the request for the communications service.

9. A system, comprising:

a processor; and

memory storing code that when executed causes the processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:

receiving a request for communications service at a service provider;

determining a subcontracted processing service is desired in a best-value scenario for fulfilling the request for the communications service, wherein the best-value scenario is determined based on segmentation, dispersion, assemblage, and routing of data to fulfill the request for the communications service;

subcontracting a portion of the request for the communications service comprising packets of data over a communications network to another service provider to receive the subcontracted processing service according to the best-value scenario;

receiving a result of the subcontracted processing service provided by the another service provider;

incorporating the result of the subcontracted processing service with processing service provided by the service provider in accordance with the best-value scenario for fulfilling the request for the communications service; and

providing the communications service to fulfill the request for the communications service.

10. The system according to claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise assessing an availability of a network to fulfill the request for the communications service.

11. The system according to claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise assessing an availability of routing within a network to fulfill the request for the communications service.

12. The system according to claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise assessing availability of a network associated with the another service provider.

13. The system according to claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise assessing an availability of bandwidth in a network to fulfill the request for the communications service.

14. The system according to claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise determining the best-value scenario that maximizes profitability.

15. The system according to claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise determining the best-value scenario that reduces costs.

16. The system according to claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise querying for a service level agreement associated with the request for the communications service.

17. A memory storing instructions that when executed cause a processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:

receiving a request for communications service at a service provider;

determining a subcontracted processing service is desired in a best-value scenario for fulfilling the request for the communications service, wherein the best-value scenario is determined based on segmentation, dispersion, assemblage, and routing of data to fulfill the request for the communications service;

subcontracting a portion of the request for the communications service comprising packets of data over a communications network to another service provider to receive the subcontracted processing service according to the best-value scenario;

receiving a result of the subcontracted processing service provided by the another service provider;

incorporating the result of the subcontracted processing service with processing service provided by the service provider in accordance with the best-value scenario for fulfilling the request for the communications service; and

providing the communications service to fulfill the request for the communications service.

18. The memory according to claim 17 , wherein the operations further comprise assessing an availability of a network to fulfill the request for the communications services.

19. The memory according to claim 17 , wherein the operations further comprise assessing an availability of routing within a network to fulfill the request for the communications services.

20. The memory according to claim 17 , wherein the operations further comprise assessing an availability of bandwidth in a network to fulfill the request for the communications services.
