Salts of 4-methyl-N-[3-(4-methyl-imidazol-1-yl)-5-trifluoromethyl-phenyl]-3-(4-pyridin-3-yl-pyrimidin-2-ylamino)-benzamide are prepared by various processes.
1. A method of treating blast crisis chronic myelogenous leukemia comprising the step of administering to a subject in need thereof, a therapeutically effective amount of a salt, 4-methyl-N-[3-(4-methyl-imidazol-1-yl)-5-trifluoromethyl-phenyl]-3-(4-pyridin-3-yl-pyrimidin-2-ylamino)-benzeneamide monohydrochloride monohydrate.
2. A method of treating Philadelphia chromosome positive chronic myelogenous leukemia comprising the step of administering to a subject in need thereof, a therapeutically effective amount of a salt, 4-methyl-N-[3-(4-methyl-imidazol-1-yl)-5-trifluoromethyl-phenyl]-3-(4-pyridin-3-yl-pyrimidin-2-ylamino)-benzeneamide monohydrochloride monohydrate.
