Abstract

A system for monitoring two or more persons in an area with an entry point having an access allowed indication or an access denied indication. a token device in communication with at least one wireless proximity detection device which determines a relative location of the token device to provide a detection data point for each of the wireless proximity detection devices and a set of detection data points for the group of detection data points; a system computing device which calculates the shared proximity of the token device according to the set of detection data points and determines that the token device contains at least two valid tickets or does not, if there are valid tickets and the shared proximity of the token device is within a predetermined area the access allowed indication will display to allow entry for a number of persons corresponding to the number of the tickets.

Claims (43)

1. A system for monitoring permission for at least two persons to be in a location, said system comprising:

a secured area having at least one entry point, wherein each of the entry points have a mechanical gate with an open position and a closed position;

at least two wireless Bluetooth low energy proximity devices, wherein at least one wireless proximity detection device is in at least one of a portion of the mechanical gate and an area adjacent to a portion of the mechanical gate;

a mobile phone token device in communication with the at least two wireless Bluetooth low energy proximity detection devices and a system computing device in communication with the at least two Bluetooth low energy wireless proximity detection devices, wherein each of the at least two Bluetooth low energy wireless proximity detection devices are used by the system computing device to determine a relative location of the mobile phone token device relative to at least one of the at least two wireless proximity detection devices according to signal strength to provide a detection data point for each of the at least two wireless proximity detection devices and a set of detection data points for the group of detection data points;

wherein the system computing device calculates the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device according to the set of detection data points and determines that the mobile phone token device contains at least two valid tickets or does not contain a valid ticket, wherein the mobile phone token device contains at least two valid tickets and the system computing device determines the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device is within a predetermined area the system computing device will cause the mechanical gate to go to the open position to allow entry for a number of persons corresponding to the number of at least two valid tickets.

A system as in claim 1 , further comprises at least one additional wireless proximity detection device, wherein the additional wireless proximity detection device is selected from the group consisting of Bluetooth sensors, Bluetooth LE sensors, antennas, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), cellular data, WiFi, cell signal detection, radio frequency sensors, cell signal detection on LTE, LTE Advanced and cell signal detection on GSM.

3. A system as in claim 1 , wherein the system computing device causes the mechanical gate to go to a closed position upon determining that the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device is outside a predetermined area.

4. A system as in claim 1 , wherein the system computing device calculates the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device according to triangulation of the set of detection data points.

5. A system as in claim 1 , wherein the system computing device calculates the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device according to geometric calculations of the set of detection data points.

6. A system as in claim 1 , wherein the system computing device calculates the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device according to a sensor sensitivity profile.

A system as in claim 1 , wherein the system computing device calculates the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device according to a sensor sensitivity profile that has a predetermined range of shapes from a signal of a predetermined set of strengths at each of the at least two wireless proximity detection devices and determines that the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device is within the predetermined area to cause the mechanical gate to go to the open position only when the sensor sensitivity profile is in the predetermined range of shapes.

A system as in claim 1 , further comprising at least one light beam in the mechanical gate, wherein the at least one light beam must be tripped, the mobile phone token device must contain at least two valid tickets and the system computing device must determine the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device to be within a predetermined area for mechanical gate to go to the open position.

9. A system as in claim 8 , wherein the mechanical gate goes to a closed position a predetermined length of time after the at least one light beam is tripped a number of times that corresponds to the number of the at least two valid tickets.

The system as in claim 1 , further comprising an additional ticket validation, wherein there must be the additional ticket validation, the mobile phone token device must contain a valid ticket and the system computing device must determine the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device to be within a predetermined area for mechanical gate to go to the open position.

The system as in claim 10 , wherein the additional ticket validation is selected from the group consisting of visual validation, fingerprint scanning, sound sampling, facial recognition, a light beam, Bluetooth LE, wireless proximity analysis, GPS, geo-fencing, automated license plate reading, fingerprint scanning, facial recognition, unique alphanumeric ID entry via a keyboard, numeric keypad.

12. A system as in claim 8 , wherein the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device is determined according to one detection data point in the set of detection data points and the at least one light beam.

13. A system as in claim 1 , wherein the mobile phone token device is determined to contain a valid ticket by having a stored ticket token that is transmitted to the system computing device.

14. A system as in claim 13 , wherein the stored ticket token is transmitted to the system computing device over a secure data channel.

15. A system as in claim 13 , wherein the stored ticket token is generated by the system computing device using at least one of the token device IMEI (international mobile equipment identity) number, token device UDID (unique device identifier) and the token device serial number.

16. A system as in claim 1 , further comprising an activated ticket indicator for each of the at least two valid tickets that activated.

A system as in claim 1 , further comprising a secure data channel between the mobile phone token device and the computing device, wherein the computing device determines that the mobile phone token device contains at least two valid tickets or does not contain a valid ticket by fetching at least one stored ticket token on the mobile phone token device and transmitting the at least one stored ticket token from the mobile phone token device to the computing device over the secure data channel.

A system as in claim 1 , further comprising a ticketing verification system in communication with the mobile phone token device, wherein the ticketing verification system provides the mobile phone token device with at least two valid tickets and wherein the system computing device determines that the mobile phone token device contains at least two valid tickets from the ticketing verification system to cause the mechanical gate to go to the open position to allow entry for a number of persons corresponding to the number of at least two valid tickets.

19. A system for monitoring permission for at least two persons to be in a location, said system comprising:

a secured area having at least one entry point, wherein each of the entry points have an access allowed indication or an access denied indication;

at least two Bluetooth low energy wireless proximity devices, wherein at least one Bluetooth low energy wireless proximity detection device is in at least one of a portion of the entry point and an area adjacent to the entry point;

a mobile phone token device in communication with the at least two Bluetooth low energy wireless proximity detection device and a system computing device in communication with the at least two Bluetooth low energy wireless proximity detection devices, wherein each of the at least two wireless proximity detection devices are used by the system computing device to determine a relative location of the mobile phone token device relative to at least one of the at least two Bluetooth low energy wireless proximity detection devices according to signal strength to provide a detection data point for each of the at least two Bluetooth low energy wireless proximity detection devices and a set of detection data points for the group of detection data points;

wherein the system computing device calculates the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device according to the set of detection data points and determines that the mobile phone token device contains at least two valid tickets or does not contain a valid ticket, wherein the mobile phone token device contains at least two valid tickets and the system computing device determines the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device is within a predetermined area the system computing device will cause the access allowed indication to display to allow entry for a number of persons corresponding to the number of the at least two valid tickets.

A system as in claim 19 , wherein the at least two wireless proximity detection devices are selected from the group consisting of Bluetooth sensors, Bluetooth LE sensors, antennas, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), cellular data, WiFi, cell signal detection, radio frequency sensors, cell signal detection on LTE, LTE Advanced and cell signal detection on GSM.

21. A system as in claim 19 , wherein the system computing device causes the access denied indication to display upon determining that the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device is outside a predetermined area.

22. A system as in claim 19 , wherein the system computing device calculates the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device according to triangulation of the set of detection data points.

23. A system as in claim 19 , wherein the system computing device calculates the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device according to geometric calculations of the set of detection data points.

24. A system as in claim 19 , wherein the system computing device calculates the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device according to a sensor sensitivity profile.

A system as in claim 19 , wherein the system computing device calculates the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device according to a sensor sensitivity profile that has a predetermined range of shapes from a signal of a predetermined set of strengths at each of the at least two wireless proximity detection devices and determines that the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device is within the predetermined area to cause the access allowed indication to display only when the sensor sensitivity profile is in the predetermined range of shapes.

A system as in claim 19 , further comprising at least one light beam substantially in or adjacent to the at least one entry point, wherein the at least one light beam must be tripped, the mobile phone token device must contain at least two valid tickets and the system computing device must determine the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device to be within a predetermined area for the access allowed indication to display.

27. A system as in claim 26 , wherein the access denied indication is displayed a predetermined length of time after the at least one light beam is tripped a number of times that corresponds to the number of the at least two valid tickets.

The system as in claim 19 , further comprising an additional ticket validation, wherein there must be the additional ticket validation, the mobile phone token device must contain a valid ticket and the system computing device must determine the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device to be within a predetermined area for the access allowed indication to display.

The system as in claim 28 , wherein the additional ticket validation is selected from the group consisting of visual validation, fingerprint scanning, sound sampling, facial recognition, a light beam, Bluetooth LE, wireless proximity analysis, GPS, geo-fencing, automated license plate reading, fingerprint scanning, facial recognition, unique alphanumeric ID entry via a keyboard, numeric keypad.

30. A system as in claim 19 , wherein the shared proximity of the mobile phone token device is determined according to one detection data point in the set of detection data points and the at least one light beam.

31. A system as in claim 19 , wherein the mobile phone token device is determined to contain a valid ticket by having a stored ticket token that is transmitted to the system computing device.

32. A system as in claim 31 , wherein the stored ticket token is transmitted to the system computing device over a secure data channel.

33. A system as in claim 31 , wherein the stored ticket token is generated by the system computing device using at least one of the token device IMEI (international mobile equipment identity) number, token device UDID (unique device identifier) and the token device serial number.

34. A system as in claim 19 , further comprising an activated ticket indicator for each of the at least two valid tickets that activated.

A system as in claim 19 , further comprising a secure data channel between the mobile phone token device and the computing device, wherein the computing device determines that the mobile phone token device contains at least two valid tickets or does not contain a valid ticket by fetching at least one stored ticket token on the mobile phone token device and transmitting the at least one stored ticket token from the mobile phone token device to the computing device over the secure data channel.
