Aspirin derivatives and uses thereof
View Patent ↗The present invention provides novel aspirin derivatives useful for preventing and/or treating cancer. The novel compounds of this invention may be particularly useful for the prevention and/or treatment of cancers affecting the gastrointestinal system, such as colorectal cancer.
1. A compound having the following structure
or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof,
wherein:
R E is —O—C(O)—C 1-3 alkyl;
R F is
wherein n=3, 5, or 7; and
R G is —H or C 1-6 alkyl.
2. The compound of claim 1 , wherein
R G is —H or -Me; and
R E is —O—C(O)-Me, —O—C(O)-Et, or —O—C(O)—Pr.
3. The compound of claim 1 , wherein R E is —O—C(O)-Me and R G is -Me.
4. The compound of claim 2 , wherein R F is
and n=3, 5, or 7.

8. A pharmaceutical composition, comprising:

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, and
a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier,
wherein:
R E is —O—C(O)—C 1-3 alkyl;
R F is
wherein n=3, 5 or 7; and
R G is —H or C 1-6 alkyl.
9. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 8 , wherein
R G is —H or -Me; and
R E is —O—C(O)-Me, —O—C(O)-Et, or —O—C(O)—Pr.
10. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 9 , wherein R E is —O—C(O)-Me and R G is -Me.
11. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 9 , wherein R F is
and n=3, 5, or 7.
