Abstract

Row electrode drivers and column electrode drivers for a memory device are distributed within a footprint share by a memory cell array.

Claims (10)

1. A system, comprising:

a memory device comprising:

an array of memory cells occupying a footprint; and

a plurality of word line drivers and digit line drivers in a circuit level positioned below the array of memory cells, wherein the circuit level comprises a plurality of word line driver connection points and digit line driver connection points distributed within the footprint.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the memory device further comprises interconnects formed in metal levels positioned between the circuit level and the array of memory cells, the interconnects electrically coupling the plurality of word line driver connection points and the digit line driver connection points to the array of memory cells.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the array of memory cells comprises word lines positioned along a first direction and digit lines positioned along a direction different from the first direction.

4. The system of claim 3 , wherein individual memory cells of the array of memory cells are located at intersections of the word lines and the digit lines.

5. The system of claim 3 , wherein the word lines are staggered along a word line direction, and the digit lines are staggered along a digit line direction.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of word line drivers are each formed within one of a plurality of disjointed word line driver regions distributed across the footprint, and the digit line drivers are each formed within one of a plurality of disjointed digit line driver regions distributed across the footprint.

7. The system of claim 6 , wherein each of the plurality of word line driver connection points is centered along a word line direction within one of a plurality of word line driver regions, and each of the digit line driver connection points is centered along a digit line direction within one of a plurality of digit line driver regions.
