Abstract

A display device according to the present invention includes a display region arranged with a plurality of pixels, and a sealing layer covering the display region, wherein the sealing layer includes an insulation layer having a density pattern, the density pattern is a pattern including a low density region and a high density region, the low density region has the insulation layer with a lower density than an average density within the display region of the insulation layer, and the high density region has the insulation layer with a higher density than an average density within the display region of the insulation layer.

Claims (21)

1. A display device comprising:

a display region arranged with a plurality of pixels; and

a sealing layer covering the display region,

wherein

the plurality of pixels are arranged along a first direction and a second direction intersecting the first direction;

the sealing layer includes an insulation layer having a density pattern;

the density pattern includes a sparse region being a low density region and a dense region being a high density region;

the low density region has the insulation layer with a lower density than an average density within the display region;

the high density region has the insulation layer with a higher density than an average density within the display region;

the high density region is comprised of a plurality of island shaped regions;

the plurality of island shaped regions are individually separated; and

a region other than the high density region is comprised of the low density region in a plan view of the display region.

2. The display device according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of island shaped regions are arranged along the first direction and the second direction.

3. The display device according to claim 2 , wherein the plurality of island shaped regions are arranged in a lattice shape within the display region.

4. The display device according to claim 2 , wherein the plurality of island shaped regions have a limited repeating cycle in one of the first direction or the second direction; and

the plurality of island shaped regions have a translational symmetry in the other direction.

5. The display device according to claim 2 , wherein the plurality of island shaped regions have a limited repeating cycle in each of the first direction and the second direction.

6. The display device according to claim 2 , wherein the plurality of island shaped regions have a substantially equal limited repeating cycle in each of the first direction and the second direction.

7. The display device according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of island shaped regions are a plurality of punctuated regions.

8. The display device according to claim 1 , wherein a hydrogen content in the insulation layer within the high density region is 5 at % or more and 15 at % or less and a hydrogen content in the insulation layer within the low density region is 30 at % or more.

9. The display device according to claim 1 , wherein the insulation layer is a silicon nitride layer.
