Abstract

A response system may be provided. The response system may include an autonomous drone. The autonomous drone may include a processor, a memory in communication with the processor, and a sensor. The processor may be programmed to build a virtual map of a coverage area, store the virtual map in the memory, receive a deployment signal, deploy the drone in response to the deployment signal, control movement of the drone within the coverage area using the virtual map, collect sensor data of the coverage area using the sensor, and/or analyze the sensor data to generate an inventory list of the coverage area, the inventory list including a personal article within the coverage area.

store the inventory list in the memory.

2. The response system in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the processor is further programmed to store the virtual map in the memory.

3. The response system in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the processor is further programmed to:

receive a deployment signal; and

deploy the autonomous drone in response to the deployment signal, the autonomous drone deployed to collect the sensor data of the coverage area while moving about the coverage area.

4. The response system in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the processor is further programmed to:

analyze the sensor data; and

in response to analyzing the sensor data, identify the at least one personal article within the coverage area.

5. The response system in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the processor is further programmed to:

calculate a value amount of each identified personal article; and

generate an insurance quote for an insurance policy associated with at least one of the coverage area and each identified personal article based upon the value amount.

6. The response system in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the processor is further programmed to:

detect a trigger event associated with an abnormal condition occurring within the coverage area;

determine a location of the abnormal condition within the coverage area, the abnormal condition including at least one of (i) damage occurring within the coverage area, and (ii) theft occurring within the coverage area;

capture, using the sensor, claim data associated with the abnormal condition;

calculate at least one of a damage cost and a repair cost associated with the abnormal condition; and

transmit the claim data to an insurance computing device.

7. The response system in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the processor is further programmed to:

detect an obstacle, wherein the obstacle is one of a wall, floor, and ceiling;

determine a position of the autonomous drone relative the obstacle; and

adjust the position of the autonomous drone away from the obstacle when the determined position of the autonomous drone is below a predetermined threshold distance relative to the obstacle.

8. The response system in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the processor is further programmed to:

determine a first position of the autonomous drone relative to the virtual map based on at least one of dead reckoning and navigation data received from a plurality of sensors associated with the coverage area; and

navigate the autonomous drone from the first position to a second position based on the virtual map and the first position.

9. A computer-implemented method for generating an inventory list for a coverage area using a response system that includes an autonomous drone and a processor coupled to a memory, the method comprising:

building a virtual map of the coverage area using the autonomous drone;

controlling movement of the autonomous drone within the coverage area using the virtual map;

collecting sensor data of the coverage area using a sensor coupled to the autonomous drone, the sensor data including image data of at least one personal article within the coverage area;

inputting the collected sensor data into a machine learning program trained to identify personal articles;

identifying each of the at least one personal article based on an output from the machine learning program;

assigning to each identified personal article a corresponding list identifier and the corresponding image data, wherein the corresponding list identifier identifies one or more characteristics of each identified personal article;
