View Patent ↗There is provided an image processing apparatus including a display image generation section configured to generate display image data by performing a display projection process in a case where panorama image data to be a display target is judged to be a full circumference panorama image.
1. An image processing apparatus comprising:
image processing circuitry to:
effect a plurality of display modes for displaying an image, wherein the plurality of display modes include a single view display mode, a list display mode, a scroll display mode or projection display mode,
upon a user selection of the image, switch between a first display mode and a second display mode of the plurality of display modes,
determine whether the image selected is a full circumference image based on a metadata associated the image, and
enter the projection display mode and control a display to display image data by performing a display projection process where the image selected is determined to be a full circumference image or enter the scroll display mode and control the display to display image data by performing a different display process from the display projection process where the image selected is determined to be a panorama image other than the full circumference image.
2. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the metadata is generated based on image processing data associated with the image.

The image processing apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the image processing data comprises data that provides an indication of one or more of panorama mode type information, 360° viewing angle judgment information, end alignment information, projection surface information at a time of panorama image data generation, horizontal viewing angle information, or vertical viewing angle information.
4. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the metadata includes panorama mode type information based on a capturing mode of an image processing device that captures the image.
5. The image processing apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein the panorama mode type information provides an indication of a mode type of the full circumference panorama image or a partial circumference panorama image.
6. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the first display mode comprises the single view display view mode.
7. The image processing apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein the second display mode comprises the scroll display mode or the projection display mode.
8. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the image processing circuitry determines that the image selected is the full circumference image where the metadata includes 360° viewing angle judgment information.
9. The image processing apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the image processing circuitry determines that the image selected is the full circumference image where the metadata also includes end alignment information.
10. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 , in which the image processing circuitry receives the metadata associated with the image from an image processing device.
11. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 , in which the image processing circuitry receives a panorama image file that includes panorama image data comprising the image and the metadata associated with the image.

The image processing apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the metadata comprises data that provides an indication of one or more of panorama mode information, 360° viewing angle judgment information, end alignment information, projection surface information at a time of panorama image data generation, horizontal viewing angle information, or vertical viewing angle information.
13. The image processing apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the panorama image file comprises a file in which the panorama image data and the metadata are integrated.
14. An image processing method comprising:
effecting a plurality of display modes for displaying an image, wherein the plurality of display modes include a single view display mode, a list display mode, a scroll display mode or projection display mode;
upon a user selection of the image, switching between a first display mode and a second display mode of the plurality of display modes;
determining whether the image selected is a full circumference image based on a metadata associated the image;
enter the projection display mode; and
controlling a display to display image data by performing a display projection process where the image selected is determined to be a full circumference image or enter the scroll display mode and control the display to display image data by performing a different display process from the display projection process where the image selected is determined to be a panorama image other than the full circumference image.

The image processing method according to claim 14 , wherein the image processing data comprises data that provides an indication of one or more of panorama mode type information, 360° viewing angle judgment information, end alignment information, projection surface information at a time of panorama image data generation, horizontal viewing angle information, or vertical viewing angle information.
16. The image processing method according to claim 15 , comprising associating the metadata with the image processing data.
17. The image processing method according to claim 14 , comprising determining that the image selected is a full circumference image where the metadata includes 360° viewing angle judgment information and end alignment information.
18. One or more non-transitory computer media having stored thereon instructions, the instructions causing one or more processing devices to:
effect a plurality of display modes for displaying an image, wherein the plurality of display modes include a single view display mode, a list display mode, a scroll display mode or projection display mode,
switch, upon a user selection of the image, between a first display mode and a second display mode of the plurality of display modes,
determine whether the image selected is a full circumference image based on a metadata associated the image, and
enter the projection display mode and control a display to display image data by performing a display projection process where the image selected is determined to be a full circumference image or enter the scroll display mode and control the display to display image data by performing a different display process from the display projection process where the image selected is determined to be a panorama image other than the full circumference image.

The one or more non-transitory computer media according to claim 18 , wherein the image processing data comprises data that provides an indication of one or more of panorama mode type information, 360° viewing angle judgment information, end alignment information, projection surface information at a time of panorama image data generation, horizontal viewing angle information, or vertical viewing angle information.
20. The one or more non-transitory computer media according to claim 18 , wherein the one or more processing devices determine that the image selected is a full circumference image where the metadata includes 360° viewing angle judgment information and end alignment information.
