Abstract

Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for using a third party dynamic QR code on a personal mobile device to complete a transaction at an ATM. The customer may stage a transaction using a mobile application on a mobile device. Upon the staged transaction being authenticated and approved, a machine readable image may be transmitted to the mobile device. When the customer visits the ATM, the machine readable image on the mobile device may be captured by the ATM and sent to an application server from the ATM. The application server may associate the ATM with the staged transaction that is staged using the mobile application, and send instructions to the ATM to dispense cash according to the staged transaction.

Claims (50)

1. A method, comprising:

receiving, by one or more computing devices, a message from a kiosk, wherein the message comprises an image from a display on a user equipment (UE) device as scanned by a camera on the kiosk, and a kiosk identifier for the kiosk, wherein the image is associated with a prestaged transaction;

associating, by the one or more computing devices, the prestaged transaction with the kiosk, wherein the prestaged transaction is determined based on the scanned image in the message, and wherein the kiosk is determined based on the kiosk identifier in the message; and

sending, by the one or more computing devices, a command to the kiosk based on the kiosk identifier to execute the prestaged transaction.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

comparing a physical location of the UE device with a physical location of the kiosk; and

rejecting the prestaged transaction in response to the physical location of the UE device not matching with the physical location of the kiosk.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the physical location of the kiosk is determined based on the kiosk identifier.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the prestaged transaction is further determined based on receiving, by the one or more computing devices, from the kiosk a plurality of additional images from the display on the UE device as scanned by the camera on the kiosk and the kiosk identifier.

5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

authorizing, by the one or more computing devices, the prestaged transaction based on comparison of an owner of the phone number associated with the UE device to be same as an owner of an account associated with the prestaged transaction.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

in response to a failure in executing the prestaged transaction, sending, by the one or more computing devices, a notification on a mobile application of a mobile device of an agent to assist with the prestaged transaction.

7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

in response to a failure in executing the prestaged transaction, displaying, by the one or more computing devices, a help message on a display of the kiosk to complete the prestaged transaction.

8. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

authorizing, by the one or more computing devices, the prestaged transaction based on performing a two-factor authentication with a phone number associated with an account of the prestaged transaction.

9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

in response to a determination that the prestaged transaction is outside of a preset policy boundary, overriding, by the one or more computing devices, the preset policy to authorize the prestaged transaction based on verification of information associated with an account of the prestaged transaction.

10. A system, comprising:

a memory for storing instructions; and

one or more processors, communicatively coupled to the memory, configured to execute the instructions, the instructions causing the one or more processors to:

receive a message from a kiosk, wherein the message comprises an image from a display on a user equipment (UE) device as scanned by a camera on the kiosk, and a kiosk identifier for the kiosk, and wherein the image is associated with information of a prestaged transaction;

associate the prestaged transaction with the kiosk, wherein the prestaged transaction is determined based on the scanned image in the message, and wherein the kiosk is determined based on the kiosk identifier in the message; and

send a command to the kiosk based on the kiosk identifier to execute the prestaged transaction.

11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

compare a physical location of the UE device with a physical location of the kiosk; and

reject the prestaged transaction in response to the physical location of the UE device not matching with the physical location of the kiosk,

wherein the physical location of the kiosk is determined based on the kiosk identifier.

12. The system of claim 10 , wherein to determine the prestaged transaction, the one or more processors are further configured to receive from the kiosk a plurality of additional images from the display on the UE device as scanned by the camera on the kiosk and the kiosk identifier.

13. The system of claim 10 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

authorize the prestaged transaction based on comparison of an owner of the phone number associated with the UE device to be same as an owner of an account associated with the prestaged transaction.

14. The system of claim 10 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

in response to a failure in executing the prestaged transaction, send a notification on a mobile application of a mobile device of an agent to assist with the prestaged transaction.

15. The system of claim 10 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

in response to a failure in executing the prestaged transaction, display a help message on a display of the kiosk to complete the prestaged transaction.

16. The system of claim 10 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

authorize the prestaged transaction based on performing a two-factor authentication with a phone number associated with an account of the prestaged transaction.

17. The system of claim 10 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

in response to a determination that the prestaged transaction is outside of a preset policy boundary, override the preset policy to authorize the prestaged transaction based on verification of information associated with an account of the prestaged transaction.

18. The system of claim 10 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

unlock a feature of the mobile application at the UE device based on verification of information associated with an account of the prestaged transaction.

19. A non-transitory, tangible computer-readable device having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by at least one computing device, causes the at least one computing device to perform operations comprising:

receiving a message from a kiosk, wherein the message comprises an image from a display on a user equipment (UE) device as scanned by a camera on the kiosk, and a kiosk identifier for the kiosk, and wherein the image is associated with information of a prestaged transaction;

associating the prestaged transaction with the kiosk, wherein the prestaged transaction is determined based on the scanned image in the message, and wherein the kiosk is determined based on the kiosk identifier in the message; and

sending a command to the kiosk based on the kiosk identifier to execute the prestaged transaction.

20. The non-transitory, tangible computer-readable device of claim 19 , wherein operations further comprise:

comparing a physical location of the UE device with a physical location of the kiosk; and

rejecting the prestaged transaction in response to the physical location of the UE device not matching with the physical location of the kiosk,

wherein the physical location of the kiosk is determined based on the kiosk identifier.
