Abstract

A speaker comprises a housing, a transducer residing inside the housing, and at least one sound guiding hole located on the housing. The transducer generates vibrations. The vibrations produce a sound wave inside the housing and cause a leaked sound wave spreading outside the housing from a portion of the housing. The at least one sound guiding hole guides the sound wave inside the housing through the at least one sound guiding hole to an outside of the housing. The guided sound wave interferes with the leaked sound wave in a target region. The interference at a specific frequency relates to a distance between the at least one sound guiding hole and the portion of the housing.

Claims (29)

1. A method, comprising:

providing a speaker including:

a housing;

a transducer residing inside the housing and configured to generate vibrations, the vibrations producing a sound wave inside the housing and causing a leaked sound wave spreading outside the housing at least from a portion of the housing; and

at least two sound guiding holes located on the housing and configured to guide the sound wave inside the housing through the at least two sound guiding holes to an outside of the housing, the guided sound wave having a phase different from a phase of the leaked sound wave, the guided sound wave interfering with the leaked sound wave in a target region, the interference reducing a sound pressure level of the leaked sound wave in the target region, wherein

the at least two sound guiding holes include a first sound guiding hole and a second sound guiding hole, a first distance between the first sound guiding hole and the portion of the housing is larger than a second distance between the second sound guiding hole and the portion of the housing.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first sound guiding hole and the portion of the housing are configured as first two-point sound sources, the first sound guiding hole outputting a first guided sound wave of a first frequency.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the second sound guiding hole and the portion of the housing are configured as second two-point sound sources, the second sound guiding hole outputting a second guided sound wave of a second frequency, the first frequency being lower than the second frequency.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the speaker further includes at least one contact surface configured to contact a user, the contact surface including a gradient structure causing an uneven distribution of forces on the contact surface when in contact with the user.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the gradient structure is configured to change a frequency response of the speaker.

6. The method of claim 4 , wherein the gradient structure includes at least one convex portion or at least one concave portion.

7. The method of claim 6 , wherein a ratio of an area of one of the at least one convex portion to an area of the contact surface is in a range of 1%-80%.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein a ratio of a total area of the at least one convex portion to the area of the contact surface is in a range of 5%-80%.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of the leaked sound wave whose sound pressure level is reduced is within a range of 1500 Hz to 3000 Hz.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the sound pressure level of the at least a portion of the leaked sound wave is reduced by more than 10 dB on average.

11. A speaker, comprising:

a housing;

a transducer residing inside the housing and configured to generate vibrations, the vibrations producing a sound wave inside the housing and causing a leaked sound wave spreading outside the housing at least from a portion of the housing; and

at least two sound guiding holes located on the housing and configured to guide the sound wave inside the housing through the at least two sound guiding holes to an outside of the housing, the guided sound wave having a phase different from a phase of the leaked sound wave, the guided sound wave interfering with the leaked sound wave in a target region, the interference reducing a sound pressure level of the leaked sound wave in the target region, wherein

the at least two sound guiding holes include a first sound guiding hole and a second sound guiding hole, a first distance between the first sound guiding hole and the portion of the housing is larger than a second distance between the second sound guiding hole and the portion of the housing.

12. The speaker of claim 11 , wherein the first sound guiding hole and the portion of the housing are configured as first two-point sound sources, the first sound guiding hole outputting a first guided sound wave of a first frequency.

13. The speaker of claim 12 , wherein the second sound guiding hole and the portion of the housing are configured as second two-point sound sources, the second sound guiding hole outputting a second guided sound wave of a second frequency, the first frequency being lower than the second frequency.

14. The speaker of claim 11 , further comprising at least one contact surface configured to contact a user, the contact surface including a gradient structure causing an uneven distribution of forces on the contact surface when in contact with the user.

15. The speaker of claim 14 , wherein the gradient structure is configured to change a frequency response of the speaker.

16. The speaker of claim 14 , wherein the gradient structure includes at least one convex portion or at least one concave portion.

17. The speaker of claim 16 , wherein a ratio of an area of one of the at least one convex portion to an area of the contact surface is in a range of 1%-80%.

18. The speaker of claim 17 , wherein a ratio of a total area of the at least one convex portion to the area of the contact surface is in a range of 5%-80%.

19. The speaker of claim 11 , wherein at least a portion of the leaked sound wave whose sound pressure level is reduced is within a range of 1500 Hz to 3000 Hz.

20. The speaker of claim 19 , wherein the sound pressure level of the at least a portion of the leaked sound wave is reduced by more than 10 dB on average.
