Abstract

A speaker comprises a housing, a transducer residing inside the housing, and at least one sound guiding hole located on the housing. The transducer generates vibrations. The vibrations produce a sound wave inside the housing and cause a leaked sound wave spreading outside the housing from a portion of the housing. The at least one sound guiding hole guides the sound wave inside the housing through the at least one sound guiding hole to an outside of the housing. The guided sound wave interferes with the leaked sound wave in a target region. The interference at a specific frequency relates to a distance between the at least one sound guiding hole and the portion of the housing.

Claims (27)

1. A speaker, comprising:

a housing;

a transducer residing inside the housing and configured to generate vibrations, the vibrations producing a sound wave inside the housing and causing a leaked sound wave spreading outside the housing from a portion of the housing; and

at least one sound guiding hole located on the housing and configured to guide the sound wave inside the housing through the at least one sound guiding hole to an outside of the housing, the guided sound wave having a phase different from a phase of the leaked sound wave, the guided sound wave interfering with the leaked sound wave in a target region, and the interference reducing a sound pressure level of the leaked sound wave in the target region, wherein the interference at a specific frequency relates to a distance between the at least one sound guiding hole and the portion of the housing.

2. The speaker of claim 1 , wherein a frequency of the guided sound wave is in a first frequency range, a frequency of the leaked sound wave is in a second frequency range, and the first frequency range is within the second frequency range.

3. The speaker of claim 1 , wherein the at least one sound guiding hole includes at least one first hole and at least one second hole on the housing, the at least one first hole being configured to output first guided sound wave through the at least one first hole, the at least one second hole being configured to output second guided sound wave through the at least one second hole, a first distance between the at least one first hole and the portion of the housing being greater than a second distance between the at least one first hole and the portion of the housing.

4. The speaker of claim 3 , wherein a frequency of the first guided sound wave from the at least one first hole is smaller than a frequency of the second guided sound wave from the at least one second hole.

5. The speaker of claim 4 , wherein the first guided sound wave and the second guided sound wave are transmitted to their corresponding sound guiding holes via different acoustic routes.

6. The speaker of claim 5 , wherein at least one of the different acoustic routes includes at least one of a lumen structure or a resonance cavity.

7. The speaker of claim 1 , wherein

the housing includes a bottom or a sidewalk and

the portion of the housing includes the bottom or the sidewall of the housing.

8. The speaker of claim 1 , wherein the at least one sound guiding hole includes a damping layer, the damping layer being configured to adjust the phase of the guided sound wave in the target region.

9. The speaker of claim 6 , wherein the damping layer includes tuning paper, tuning cotton, nonwoven fabric, silk, cotton, sponge, or rubber.

10. The speaker of claim 1 , wherein an amplitude of the guided sound wave is smaller than an amplitude of the leaked sound wave in a low frequency range.

11. The speaker of claim 10 , wherein the amplitude of the guided sound wave is adjusted by an acoustic resistance structure set in the at least one sound guiding hole.

12. The speaker of claim wherein a shape of the at least one sound guiding hole is circle, ellipse, quadrangle, rectangle or linear.

13. The speaker of claim 1 , wherein the transducer includes a magnetic component and a voice coil.

14. The speaker of claim 1 , wherein the transducer includes a piezoelectric ceramics.

15. The speaker of claim 1 , wherein a location of the at least one sound guiding hole is determined based on at least one of: a vibration frequency of the transducer, a shape of the at least one sound guiding hole, the target region, or a frequency range within which the sound pressure level of the leaked sound wave is to be reduced.

16. The speaker of claim 1 , wherein the at least one sound guiding hole includes different sound guiding holes, and the different sound guiding holes are arranged to generate different phases to reduce the leaked sound waves having different wavelengths.

17. The speaker of claim 1 , wherein:

the housing includes a bottom or a sidewall; and

the at least one sound guiding hole is located on the bottom or the sidewall of the housing.

18. The speaker of claim 17 , wherein the at least one sound guiding hole is arranged on a wall of the housing different from a wall on which the portion of the housing is located.

19. The speaker of claim 1 , wherein the interference reduces the sound pressure level of the leaked sound wave in the target region at a frequency lower than 4000 Hz.

20. The speaker of claim 1 , wherein the interference reduces the sound pressure level of the leaked sound wave in the target region within a frequency range of 1000 Hz to 4000 Hz.
