Abstract

The application pertains to methods of treating and/or preventing actinic keratosis, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of KX-01, to a subject in need thereof.

Claims (59)

1 . A method of treating actinic keratosis comprising topically administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the following structure:

to an affected area of the subject, wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 0.5 mg to 4 mg in a daily single dose unit and wherein the affected area is 0.1 cm 2 to 100 cm 2 .

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 0.5 mg to 3 mg.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 1 mg to 2.5 mg.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 1.3 mg to 2.5 mg.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 2.5 mg.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 1 mg to 4 mg.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 3 mg to 4 mg.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 3 mg.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the affected area is 1 cm 2 to 100 cm 2 .

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the affected area is 5 cm 2 to 100 cm 2 .

11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the affected area is 10 cm 2 to 100 cm 2 .

12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the affected area is 100 cm 2 .

13 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the affected area is 1 cm 2 to 100 cm 2 .

14 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the affected area is 5 cm 2 to 100 cm 2 .

15 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the affected area is 10 cm 2 to 100 cm 2 .

16 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the affected area is 25 cm 2 to 100 cm 2 .

17 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the affected area is 100 cm 2 .

18 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the affected area is 0.1 cm 2 to 25 cm 2 .

19 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the affected area is 1 cm 2 to 25 cm 2 .

20 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the affected area is 5 cm 2 to 25 cm 2 .

21 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the affected area is 10 cm 2 to 25 cm 2 .

22 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the affected area is 25 cm 2 .

23 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the affected area is 1 cm 2 to 25 cm 2 .

24 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the affected area is 5 cm 2 to 25 cm 2 .

25 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the affected area is 10 cm 2 to 25 cm 2 .

26 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the affected area is 25 cm 2 .

27 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 0.035 mg/cm 2 .

28 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 0.1 mg/cm 2 .

29 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the compound is administered once a day.

30 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the compound is administered once a day.

31 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the compound is administered once a day.

32 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the compound is administered once a day.

33 . The method of claim 26 , wherein the compound is administered once a day.

34 . The method of claim 27 , wherein the compound is administered once a day.

35 . The method of claim 28 , wherein the compound is administered once a day.

36 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the compound is administered once a day for 5 consecutive days.

37 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the compound is administered once a day for 5 consecutive days.

38 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the compound is administered once a day for 5 consecutive days.

39 . A method of treating actinic keratosis comprising topically administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the following structure:

to an affected area of the subject, wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 0.5 mg to 4 mg and wherein the affected area is 0.1 cm 2 to 100 cm 2 , wherein the affected area is the face or scalp.

40 . The method of claim 39 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 3 mg to 4 mg, the affected area is 100 cm 2 , and the compound is administered once a day for 5 consecutive days.

41 . The method of claim 39 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 2.5 mg, the affected area is 25 cm 2 , the compound is administered once a day for 5 consecutive days.

42 . The method of claim 39 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 0.035 mg/cm 2 and the compound is administered once a day for 5 consecutive days.

43 . The method of claim 39 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 0.1 mg/cm 2 and the compound is administered once a day for 5 consecutive days.

44 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 3 mg to 4 mg, the affected area is 100 cm 2 , and the compound is provided in a daily single-dose unit administered once a day for 5 consecutive days.

45 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 2.5 mg, the affected area is 25 cm 2 , and the compound is provided in a daily single-dose unit administered once a day for 5 consecutive days.

46 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 0.035 mg/cm 2 , and the compound is provided in a daily single-dose unit administered once a day for 5 consecutive days.

47 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 0.1 mg/cm 2 , and the compound is provided in a daily single-dose unit administered once a day for 5 consecutive days.

48 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 0.035 mg/cm 2 , the affected area is the face or scalp and the compound is provided in a daily single-dose unit administered once a day for 5 consecutive days.

49 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is 0.1 mg/cm 2 , the affected area is the face or scalp and the compound is provided in a daily single-dose unit administered once a day for 5 consecutive days.

50 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the compound is topically administered to an affected area on the face or scalp of a subject in need thereof, once a day for 5 consecutive days at a single-dose unit of 2.5 mg to 4 mg over an affected area of 1 cm 2 to 100 cm 2 .

51 . The method of claim 50 , wherein the single-dose unit is 3 mg to 4 mg.

52 . The method of claim 51 , wherein the affected area is 1 cm 2 to 25 cm 2 .

53 . The method of claim 51 , wherein the affected area is 25 cm 2 to 100 cm 2 .

54 . The method of claim 50 , wherein the single-dose unit is 2.5 mg.

55 . The method of claim 54 , wherein the affected area is 1 cm 2 to 25 cm 2 .

56 . The method of claim 54 , wherein the affected area is 25 cm 2 to 100 cm 2 .

57 . The method of claim 54 , wherein the affected area is 100 cm 2 .
