Abstract

An anode material for a lithium-ion secondary battery, includes a carbon material satisfying the following (1) and (2): (1) D90/D10 of a particle size on a volume basis is larger than 2.0 and less than 4.3; (2) N/S, which is a value obtained by dividing a number N of particles with an equivalent circle diameter of 5 μm or less based on a number standard in a total number of measured particles of 10,000, by a specific surface area S determined by nitrogen adsorption measurement at 77 K, is 750 (particles·g/cm 2 ) or more.

Claims (18)

1 . An anode material for a lithium-ion secondary battery, the anode material comprising a carbon material satisfying the following (1) and (2):

(1) D90/D10 of a particle size on a volume basis is larger than 2.0 and less than 4.3;

(2) N/S, which is a value obtained by dividing a number N of particles with an equivalent circle diameter of 5 μm or less based on a number standard in a total number of measured particles of 10,000, by a specific surface area S determined by nitrogen adsorption measurement at 77 K, is 750 (particles·g/cm 2 ) or more.

2 . The anode material for a lithium-ion secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein the carbon material satisfies the following (3):

(3) a ratio of a number of particles with an equivalent circle diameter of 5 μm or less based on a number standard with respect to a total number of measured particles of 10,000 is 45% or more.

3 . The anode material for a lithium-ion secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein the carbon material satisfies the following (4):

(4) when X is an equivalent circle diameter based on a number standard at a cumulative percentage of 99% of a particle size distribution limited to particle sizes of 5 μm or more, and Y is a circularity at a cumulative percentage of 1% of a circularity distribution limited to particle sizes of 5 μm or more, the following Formula (a) is satisfied:

4 . The anode material for a lithium-ion secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein the carbon material satisfies the following (5):

(5) a tap density is from 0.8 g/cm 3 to 0.95 g/cm 3 .

5 . The anode material for a lithium-ion secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein the carbon material satisfies the following (6):

(6) an average circularity is from 0.90 to 0.93.

6 . The anode material for a lithium-ion secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein an average interplanar spacing d 002 determined by an X-ray diffraction method of the carbon material is from 3.34 Å to 3.38 Å.

7 . The anode material for a lithium-ion secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein an R value from Raman spectrometry on the carbon material is from 0.1 to 0.4.

8 . The anode material for a lithium-ion secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein a specific surface area determined by nitrogen adsorption measurement at 77 K of the carbon material is 14 m 2 /g or less.

9 . The anode material for a lithium-ion secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein the carbon material does not have two or more exothermic peaks in a temperature range of from 300° C. to 1000° C. in a differential thermal analysis in an air stream.

10 . An anode for a lithium-ion secondary battery, comprising an anode material layer including the anode material for a lithium-ion secondary battery according to claim 1 , and a current collector.

11 . A lithium-ion secondary battery, comprising the anode for a lithium-ion secondary battery according to claim 10 , a cathode, and an electrolytic solution.
