Abstract

A power tool includes a brushless motor having a stator and a rotor. The stator includes a stator core having teeth, first and second insulators fixed to the stator core, and coils respectively wound around the teeth, all of the coils being wound around the first and second insulators. The rotor includes a rotor core disposed in the interior of the stator, a rotary shaft fixed to the rotor core, and one or more permanent magnets fixed to the rotor core. Power supply lines are configured to respectively supply current to the coils. Fusing terminals are fixed to the first insulator members. The fusing members respectively pinch the power supply lines and are thereby respectively electrically connected to the power supply lines.

wherein:

power supply lines respectively supply current to the coils;

fusing terminals are fixed to the first insulator;

the fusing terminals respectively pinch the power supply lines and are thereby respectively electrically connected to the power supply lines; and

each of the fusing terminals is respectively disposed between a pair of adjacent ones of the coils.

2. The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein the power supply lines are also retained by the first insulator.

3. The power tool according to claim 1 , further comprising:

a sensor circuit board disposed radially inward of the fusing terminals and configured to detect rotational position(s) of the one or more permanent magnets.

4. The power tool according to claim 3 , wherein the sensor circuit board is affixed to the first insulator.

5. The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein:

each of the fusing terminals includes a first plate part, a second plate part and a curled part continuously extending between the first and second plate parts; and

the first plate part and the second plate part pinch one of the power supply lines.

6. The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein the fusing terminals each also pinch a wire forming the coils and thereby electrically connect the power supply lines to the coils.

7. The power tool according to claim 6 , wherein the power supply lines are also retained by the first insulator.

8. The power tool according to claim 7 , further comprising:

a sensor circuit board disposed radially inward of the fusing terminals and configured to detect rotational position(s) of the one or more permanent magnets.

9. The power tool according to claim 8 , wherein the sensor circuit board is affixed to the first insulator.

10. The power tool according to claim 9 , wherein:
