Abstract

A method, software, database, and system in which a query attribute is used as the basis for accessing stored attribute combinations and their frequencies of occurrence for individuals; and tabulating, based on frequencies of occurrence, those attribute combinations that are most likely to co-occur with the query attribute.

Claims (41)

1. A computer-implemented method comprising:

obtaining, by a computing system, representations of a plurality of genetic attributes, phenotypic attributes, or behavioral attributes exhibited by an individual;

based on the plurality of genetic attributes, phenotypic attributes, or behavioral attributes, calculating, by the computing system, increasing likelihoods that the individual develops an age-associated disease over time;

providing, by the computing system and for display on a graphical user interface, a graph plotting the increasing likelihoods over time that the individual develops the age-associated disease;

receiving, by the computing system and by way of the graphical user interface, a change to the plurality of genetic attributes, phenotypic attributes, or behavioral attributes;

based on the change, recalculating, by the computing system, updated increasing likelihoods that the individual develops the age-associated disease over time; and

providing, by the computing system and for display on the graphical user interface, the graph plotting the updated increasing likelihoods over time that the individual develops the age-associated disease.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the age-associated disease is one of type-2 diabetes, heart disease, or high blood pressure.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the genetic attributes comprise single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs).

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the genetic attributes are non-monogenic.

5. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the phenotypic attributes comprise height or weight of the individual.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the behavioral attributes comprise diet, physical activities, or sleep patterns of the individual.

7. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the change is to a given age of the individual.

8. The computer-implemented method of claim 7 , wherein the updated increasing likelihoods are based on a prediction that the individual develops the age-associated disease by the given age.

9. The computer-implemented method of claim 7 , wherein the change is effectuated by a user dragging an indication of the given age on the graphical user interface.

10. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the graph plotting the updated increasing likelihoods over time that the individual develops the age-associated disease includes the graph also plotting the increasing likelihoods over time prior to updating.

11. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the graphical user interface also includes a numerical representation of at least one of the likelihoods that the individual develops an age-associated disease over time.

12. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the graphical user interface also includes a future prediction of the likelihoods that the individual develops an age-associated disease over time.

13. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing program instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a computing system, cause the computing system to perform operations comprising:

obtaining representations of a plurality of genetic attributes, phenotypic attributes, or behavioral attributes exhibited by an individual;

based on the plurality of genetic attributes, phenotypic attributes, or behavioral attributes, calculating increasing likelihoods that the individual develops an age-associated disease over time;

providing, for display on a graphical user interface, a graph plotting the increasing likelihoods over time that the individual develops the age-associated disease;

receiving, by way of the graphical user interface, a change to the plurality of genetic attributes, phenotypic attributes, or behavioral attributes;

based on the change, recalculating updated increasing likelihoods that the individual develops the age-associated disease over time; and

providing, for display on the graphical user interface, the graph plotting the updated increasing likelihoods over time that the individual develops the age-associated disease.

14. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the change is to a given age of the individual.

15. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the updated increasing likelihoods are based on a prediction that the individual develops the age-associated disease by the given age.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the change is effectuated by a user dragging an indication of the given age on the graphical user interface.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the graph plotting the updated increasing likelihoods over time that the individual develops the age-associated disease includes the graph also plotting the increasing likelihoods over time prior to updating.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the graphical user interface also includes a numerical representation of at least one of the likelihoods that the individual develops an age-associated disease over time.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the graphical user interface also includes a future prediction of the likelihoods that the individual develops an age-associated disease over time.

20. A computing system comprising:

one or more processors;

memory; and

program instructions, stored in the memory, that upon execution by the one or more processors cause the computing system to perform operations comprising:

obtaining representations of a plurality of genetic attributes, phenotypic attributes, or behavioral attributes exhibited by an individual;

based on the plurality of genetic attributes, phenotypic attributes, or behavioral attributes, calculating increasing likelihoods that the individual develops an age-associated disease over time;

providing, for display on a graphical user interface, a graph plotting the increasing likelihoods over time that the individual develops the age-associated disease;

receiving, by way of the graphical user interface, a change to the plurality of genetic attributes, phenotypic attributes, or behavioral attributes;

based on the change, recalculating updated increasing likelihoods that the individual develops the age-associated disease over time; and

providing, for display on the graphical user interface, the graph plotting the updated increasing likelihoods over time that the individual develops the age-associated disease.
