Abstract

A recording and reproducing device including, a case; at least one recording medium having a disk-shape, a motor configured to rotate the at least one recording medium, a head configured to read or write information from or to the at least one recording medium, and an actuator configured to drive the head to scan in a radial direction of the at least one recording medium which are provided in the case; and a regulating portion configured to, when an external shock is applied to the at least one recording medium, contact an outer peripheral edge of the at least one recording medium to regulate displacements of the at least one recording medium due to bending of the at least one recording medium, wherein the regulating portion includes a regulating member which is movable in an axial direction parallel to a rotation axis of the at least one recording medium.

Claims (30)

1. A recording and reproducing device comprising:

a case;

a plurality of recording mediums having a disk-shape, a motor configured to rotate the plurality of recording mediums, a head configured to read or write information from or to a corresponding one of the plurality of recording mediums, and an actuator configured to drive the head to scan in a radial direction of the corresponding one of the plurality of recording mediums which are provided in the case; and

a regulating portion configured to, when an external shock is applied to the plurality of recording mediums, contact an outer peripheral edge of each of the plurality of recording mediums to regulate displacements of each of the plurality of recording mediums due to bending of each of the plurality of recording mediums,

wherein the regulating portion includes a regulating member which is movable in an axial direction parallel to a rotation axis of the plurality of recording mediums,

the plurality of recording mediums are arranged in the axial direction parallel to the rotation axis, and

a plurality of pairs of inclined surfaces are arranged on an outer peripheral edge of the regulating member in the axial direction parallel to the rotation axis corresponding to each of the plurality of recording mediums.

2. The recording and reproducing device according to claim 1 , wherein the regulating member has a plurality of pairs of contact surfaces facing the outer peripheral edge of each of the plurality of recording mediums, and

each of the pairs of contact surfaces are inclined in opposite directions with the outer peripheral edge of each of the plurality of recording mediums interposed therebetween, and

the plurality of pairs of contact surfaces are the plurality of pairs of inclined surfaces.

3. The recording and reproducing device according to claim 1 , wherein the regulating portion includes an energizing member configured to energize the regulating member toward one side in the axial direction.

4. The recording and reproducing device according to claim 1 , wherein the regulating member is pivotally supported by a support shaft parallel to the rotation axis of the plurality of recording mediums.

5. The recording and reproducing device according to claim 1 , wherein each of a plurality of regulating portions is provided at each of a plurality of positions in a circumferential direction of the plurality of recording mediums.

6. The recording and reproducing device according to claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of recording mediums has a diameter of 90 mm or more and a thickness of 0.550 mm or less.

7. The recording and reproducing device according to claim 1 ,

wherein each of the plurality of pairs of inclined surfaces is arranged so as to be associated with each of the plurality of recording mediums.

8. A recording and reproducing device comprising:

a case;

a plurality of recording mediums having a disk-shape, a motor configured to rotate the plurality of recording mediums, a head configured to read or write information from or to a corresponding one of the plurality of recording mediums, and an actuator configured to drive the head to scan in a radial direction of the corresponding one of the plurality of recording mediums which are provided in the case; and

a regulating portion configured to, when an external shock is applied to the plurality of recording mediums, contact an outer peripheral edge of each of the plurality of recording mediums to regulate displacements of each of the plurality of recording mediums due to bending of each of the plurality of recording mediums,

wherein the regulating portion includes a plurality of regulating members which are movable in an axial direction parallel to a rotation axis of the plurality of recording mediums,

each of the plurality of regulating members is arranged in the axial direction so as to be associated with each of the plurality of recording mediums arranged in the axial direction, and

the plurality of regulating members are provided to be rotatable independently of each other around an axis parallel to the rotation axis.

9. A recording and reproducing device comprising:

a case;

a plurality of recording mediums having a disk-shape, a motor configured to rotate the plurality of recording mediums, a head configured to read or write information from or to a corresponding one of the plurality of recording mediums, and an actuator configured to drive the head to scan in a radial direction of the corresponding one of the plurality of recording mediums which are provided in the case; and

a regulating portion configured to, when an external shock is applied to the plurality of recording mediums, contact an outer peripheral edge of each of the plurality of recording mediums to regulate displacements of each of the plurality of recording mediums due to bending of each of the plurality of recording mediums,

wherein the regulating portion includes a regulating member which is movable in an axial direction parallel to a rotation axis of the plurality of recording mediums,

the regulating member includes a cylindrical roller portion, a cylindrical hub portion positioned at a center of the roller portion, and a plurality of spoke portions that radially connect the roller portion and the hub portion, and

the regulating member is provided to be rotatable around an axis parallel to the rotation axis by being pivotally supported by a support shaft axially penetrating the hub portion.
