Quick-release pump mounting bracket
A quick mounting bracket for a pump is provided. The bracket includes a flexible handle that moves relative to stabilizer tabs. The bracket has ramped surfaces that guide a portion of the pump housing into a receiving slot of the bracket. A hinge of the handle biases the handle away from the pump such that the handle is driven to overlap the portion of the pump housing that seats into the receiving slot, thereby locking the pump onto the bracket until the handle is move to clear receiving slot and allow the pump to be removed from the bracket.
1 . A pump-mounting system comprising:
a base plate;
a stabilizer tab connected to the base plate;
a handle connected to the base plate by a hinge such that the handle can move relative to the stabilizer tab, the handle extending in a direction that is away from the stabilizer tab and toward the base plate; and
a support shelf.
2 . The pump-mounting system of claim 1 , further comprising a stop surface that extends from the support shelf.
3 . The pump-mounting system of claim 1 , wherein the support shelf comprises a slot configured to align with a threaded hole on a housing of a pump when the pump is attached to the pump-mounting system.
4 . The pump-mounting system of claim 1 , wherein the stabilizer tab comprises a first stabilizer tab and a second stabilizer tab, the handle disposed between the first and second stabilizer tabs.
5 . The pump-mounting system of claim 1 , further comprising an arm extending from the base plate and disposed lateral of the stabilizer tab.
6 . The pump-mounting system of claim 5 , wherein the arm comprises a ramped leading edge.
7 . The pump-mounting system of claim 1 , further comprising a docking portion extending from the base plate to form a seating slot disposed between the docking portion and the base plate.
8 . The pump-mounting system of claim 1 , wherein the stabilizer tab has a thickness that is greater than a thickness of the handle.
9 . The pump-mounting system of claim 8 , wherein the thickness of the stabilizer tab is between 30% to 200% greater than the thickness of the handle.
10 . A pump-mounting system comprising:
