Abstract

In this application are described Ebola GP monoclonal antibodies, epitopes recognized by these monoclonal antibodies, and the sequences of the variable regions of some of these antibodies. Also provided are mixtures of antibodies of the present invention, as well as methods of using individual antibodies or mixtures thereof for the detection, prevention, and/or therapeutical treatment of Ebola virus infections in vitro and in vivo.

Claims (6)

1. An isolated monoclonal antibody which binds Ebola virus GP, which monoclonal antibody consists of a heavy chain variable region encoded by the DNA sequence SEQ ID NO:21.

2. An isolated monoclonal antibody which binds Ebola virus GP, which monoclonal antibody consists of a light chain variable region encoded by the DNA sequence SEQ ID NO:26.

3. An isolated monoclonal antibody which binds Ebola virus GP, which monoclonal antibody consists of a heavy chain variable region encoded by the DNA sequence SEQ ID NO:21 and a light chain variable region encoded by the DNA sequence encoded by the DNA sequence SEQ ID NO:26.

4. An immunogenic composition comprising a monoclonal antibody which binds Ebola virus GP, which monoclonal antibody consists of a heavy chain variable region encoded by the DNA sequence SEQ ID NO:21, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

5. An immunogenic composition comprising a monochonal antibody which binds Ebola virus GP, which monoclonal antibody consists of a light chain variable region encoded by the DNA sequence SEQ ID NO:26, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

6. An immunogenic composition comprising a monoclonal antibody which binds Ebola virus GP, which monoclonal antibody consists of a heavy chain variable region encoded by the DNA sequence SEQ ID NO:21 and a light chain variable region encoded by the DNA sequence SEQ ID NO:26, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
