CAD data evaluation method and evaluation apparatus
The apparatus has an evaluated value calculating means 102 for calculating the complexity of the object shape and the complexity of the modeling structure of the object CAD data input by the CAD data inputting means 101; a searching means 104 for searching the reference CAD data in the reference CAD data base 103 in accordance with the condition of said complexity; an evaluated value calculating means 106 for calculating the complexity of the object shape and the complexity of the modeling structure based on the searched reference CAD data; and a displaying means 105 for evaluated values obtained by the means 102 and the means 106 on the graphic representation defining its horizontal axis for the complexity of the object shape and its vertical axis for the complexity of the modeling structure. It will be appreciated that the man-hour for evaluating large amount of various models can be reduced by means of not using a CAD system.
1. A CAD data evaluation method for evaluating a modeling method of CAD data, comprising
a step for inputting object CAD data to be evaluated and calculating a first complexity of object shape and complexity of modeling structure as a first set of evaluated values of said object CAD data to be evaluated;
a step for searching reference CAD data related to said object CAD data to be evaluated in a data base stored so as to be enabled to refer to plural CAD data, and calculating a second complexity of object shape and complexity of modeling structure as a second set of evaluated values of said object CAD data to be evaluated; and
a step for displaying evaluated values of said object CAD data to be evaluated and said reference CAD data so as to be compared with one another,
wherein said evaluated values are displayed in a graphic representation having an X axis defining complexity of object shape and an Y axis defining complexity of modeling structure.
2. A CAD data evaluation method of claim 1 , wherein
each of said object CAD data to be evaluated and said reference CAD data has shape data, and a corresponding shape is displayed on a display position of said individual evaluated value.
