Abstract

A mobile grout plant for preparing structural grout comprising a mixer having an opening for receiving at least a portion of the components for preparation of the grout, a remixer located downstream of the mixer, a deck and at least one motor to power the mixer and remixer, wherein the mixer is oriented vertically above the remixer and at a terminal end of the grout plant so that a truck with aggregate can back up to the mixer for offloading directly into the mixer, with the opening of the mixer adapted to be about waist height to a worker standing on the deck.

Claims (15)

1. A mobile grout plant for preparing structural grout comprising a mixer having an opening for receiving at least a portion of the components for preparation of the grout, a remixer located downstream of the mixer, a worker deck at a height above the ground, a shelf adjacent at least a portion of the opening of the mixer at the height of the opening and located above the worker deck, a platform located below the worker deck and at least one motor to power the mixer and remixer, wherein the mixer is oriented at a terminal end of the grout plant, vertically above the remixer, and the opening of the mixer is adapted to be at a height of from about 30 to about 48 inches above the deck.

2. The mobile grout plant of claim 1 further comprising a pump to move the prepared grout from the remixer to a work area.

3. The mobile grout plant of claim 2 wherein the pump is located vertically below the remixer.

4. The mobile grout plant of claim 2 wherein the pump is a hydraulic piston pump.

5. The mobile grout plant of claim 1 wherein the deck is adapted to be at a height of about 48 inches from the ground, about the height of a bed of a truck carrying an aggregate for delivery to the mixer.

6. The mobile grout plant of claim 1 further comprising a water tank for transport and storage of water to be used in preparing grout.

7. The mobile grout plant of claim 1 further comprising an automatic timer switch and pump for delivery of water to the mixer.

8. The mobile grout plant of claim 1 wherein a single hydraulic motor powers the mixer and remixer.

9. The mobile grout plant of claim 1 wherein the motor is located on the grout plant in an area away from the mixer.

10. The mobile grout plant of claim 1 further comprising a stow away ladder for accessing the deck.

11. The mobile grout plant of claim 1 wherein grout component materials can be transported and/or stored on the platform.

12. The mobile grout plant of claim 1 wherein the shelf is adapted to be at a height of from about 78 inches to about 96 inches from the ground, about equal to waist height of a worker standing on a bed of a truck containing aggregate to be delivered into the mixer.

13. The mobile grout plant of claim 1 further comprising a plurality of wheels for mobility of the grout plant.

14. The mobile grout plant of claim 13 further comprising a hitch for attaching the grout plant to a vehicle for towing the grout plant to a job site.

15. The mobile grout plant of claim 14 further comprising one or more stands for maintaining the grout plant in a level orientation when it is not hitched to a vehicle.
