Abstract
The Breast Cancer Resistance Protein is described, as well as the cDNA encoding said protein. This protein has been found to confer resistance to cancer chemotherapeutic drugs.
Claims (5)
1. An isolated polyclonal antibody which binds to the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:1.
2. A composition comprising an antibody of claim 1 , and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent.
3. A method of screening a sample for a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1, said method comprising:
(a) contacting a test sample with an antibody of claim 1 , and
(b) detecting binding of said antibody to said polypeptide, thereby screening a sample for a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1.
