Abstract

An injection device with a puncture function includes, in a single casing, a cylindrical cartridge in which insulin is enclosed, a cartridge holder to which the cartridge is inserted, a needle inserted at a front end of the cartridge, a reciprocation unit for reciprocating the cartridge toward the needle, and an extrusion member for extruding the insulin from a rear end of the cartridge toward the needle, and the motion speed and the motion amount of the reciprocation unit are made variable.

Claims (54)

1. A chemical solution administration device comprising:

a blood sensor configured to collect blood;

a connector connected to the blood sensor;

an analysis unit configured to analyze components in the blood collected by the blood sensor, and to which a signal from the blood sensor inputted to the connector is supplied, said analysis unit having an output;

a display unit configured to display an analysis result obtained by the analysis unit, and connected to the output of the analysis unit;

an input unit;

a control unit to which required signals are supplied from the input unit, the control unit having an output;

a memory having an input and an output;

an extrusion member having a first input to which the output of the control unit is connected, a second input to which the output of the memory is connected, and an output; and

a cartridge to which the output of the extrusion member is connected, said cartridge having insulin enclosed therein, a front end and a needle inserted in the front end;

wherein the output of the analysis unit is connected to the input of the memory to store the analysis result obtained by the analysis unit into the memory automatically, and a quantity of the insulin to be administrated based on the quantity of the analysis result is displayed on the display unit, and

the control unit is configured to operate the extrusion member such that the extrusion member administers the quantity of the insulin according to the quantity of the analysis result displayed on the display unit into a body, and is configured to drive a reciprocation unit when collecting the blood and when administering the insulin.

A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 1 , further comprising a single casing, and said blood sensor, said connector, said analysis unit, said display unit, said input unit, said control unit, said memory, said extrusion member and said cartridge are included in said single casing.

A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 2 , wherein said single casing further includes the reciprocation unit which has a first input to which the output of the control unit is connected and a second input to which the output of the memory is connected are provided in one container, and

the output of the reciprocation unit being connected to the needle.

4. A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 1 , wherein the reciprocation unit which has a first input to which the output of the control unit is connected and a second input to which the output of the memory is connected are provided in one container, and

the output of the reciprocation unit being connected to the needle.

5. A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 1 wherein said extrusion member comprises,

a motor,

a rpm/linear motion conversion unit which is disposed between a rotation axis of the motor and a rear end of the cartridge, and

a rpm detection unit for detecting a rpm of the motor.

6. A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 5 wherein said rpm/linear motion conversion unit comprises,

a shaft having an external thread at its surface, and

a nut which is fixed to a piston, and has an internal thread that fits the external thread.

7. A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 5 wherein said rpm detection unit comprises,

an encoder that is connected to the rotation axis of the motor, and

a sensor for detecting a rpm of the encoder.

8. A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 6 wherein an elastic extension member is inserted between the shaft and the nut.

9. A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 5 wherein said rpm/linear motion conversion unit is arranged in a horseshoe shape.

10. A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 3 wherein said reciprocation unit comprises,

a motor,

a rpm/linear motion conversion unit which is connected between the motor and a frame, and

a rpm detection unit for detecting a rpm of the motor.

11. A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 10 wherein said rpm/linear motion conversion unit comprises,

a shaft having an external thread at its surface, and

a nut which is fixed to the frame, and has an internal thread that fits the external thread.

12. A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 10 wherein said rpm detection unit comprises,

an encoder that is connected to the rotation axis of the motor, and

a sensor for detecting a rpm of the encoder.

13. A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 10 wherein

said needle is a hollow needle made of metal, and

said needle serves both as a puncture needle configured to puncture, and as an administration needle configured for administration of the chemical solution.

A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 1 wherein an insertion port into which a blood sensor is inserted is provided on an outer wall of the casing, said outer wall being different from a wall having a puncture needle port through which the needle is inserted and removed.

15. A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 3 wherein said reciprocation unit is moved at a high speed by a small distance during puncture, and said needle is moved at a low speed by a large distance during extrusion of the chemical solution.

16. A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 1 further including a power supply switch being configured to turn a power supply on and off, said switch being disposed in approximately the center of the casing.

17. A chemical solution administration device as defined in claim 1 further including a touch sensor being configured to detect when the device touches the skin of a patient, said sensor being disposed next to a puncture needle port through which the needle is inserted and removed.

18. A method for controlling the chemical solution administration device defined in claim 1 comprising:

a blood collection step of collecting blood;

a measurement step of analyzing the collected blood, after the blood collection step;

a storage step of storing data measured by the measurement step into a memory, after the measurement step; and

an administration step of administrating a chemical solution after the storage step.

19. A control method as defined in claim 18 wherein an air releasing step is inserted before the administration step.

20. A control method as defined in claim 18 wherein a correction step of correcting the data measured in the measurement step is inserted after the storage step.

21. A control method as defined in claim 18 wherein, after administration of the chemical solution is carried out in the administration step, the needle is moved backward when a predetermined waiting time has passed.
