Abstract

A refrigerator door is provided. The refrigerator door includes a front decoration defining a front external appearance of the refrigerator door, a door liner provided at a rear of the front decoration to define a rear external appearance of the refrigerator door, a pair of cap decorations provided on upper and lower portions of the front decoration to define top and bottom external appearances of the refrigerator door, a pair of door decorations coupled to both sides of the front decoration to define both side external appearances of the refrigerator door, a display portion interposed between the front decoration and the door liner, and an insulating layer interposed between the front decoration and the door liner.

Claims (16)

1. A refrigerator door comprising:

a front decoration defining a front external appearance of the refrigerator door;

a door liner provided at a rear of the front decoration to define a rear external appearance of the refrigerator door;

a pair of cap decorations provided on upper and lower portions of the front decoration to define top and bottom external appearances of the refrigerator door;

a pair of door decorations coupled to both sides of the front decoration to define both side external appearances of the refrigerator door;

a display portion interposed between the front decoration and the door liner; and

an insulating layer interposed between the front decoration and the door liner,

wherein the display portion includes:

a display section for showing an operating condition of a refrigerator; and

an input section for receiving a user's command,

wherein a rear surface of the front decoration is colored except for at least a portion defining a viewing window which overlies the display section,

wherein an input mark is located on a portion of the front decoration and overlies the input section, and

wherein the cap decorations and the door decorations are formed with fastening grooves, and the front decoration is fitted into the fastening grooves of the cap and door decorations and supported thereby.

2. The refrigerator door as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the front decoration is formed of a sheet or plate.

3. The refrigerator door as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the front decoration is formed of a plastic member.

4. The refrigerator door as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the front decoration is formed of a glass member.
