Pharmaceutical formulations comprising salts of a protein kinase inhibitor and methods of using same
The present invention relates to pharmaceutical formulations comprising the protein kinase inhibitor, MP470, and methods of using same in treating conditions involving undesirable cell proliferation, such as cancer.
1. A method of treating small cell lung cancer in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject a pharmaceutically effective amount of an oral pharmaceutical formulation comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient and a hydrochloride sale of MP470, wherein MP470 has the following structure:
, wherein the pharmaceutical formulation is delivered in combination with at least one DNA damaging agent.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the DNA damaging agent is selected from a group consisting of gamma radiation, cisplatin, carboplatin, satraplatin, oxaliplatin, camptothecin, irinotecan, topotecan, etoposide and teniposide.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the DNA damaging agent is gamma radiation.
4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the DNA damaging agent is cisplatin.
5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the DNA damaging agent is carboplatin.
6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the DNA damaging agent is selected from the group consisting of satraplatin, oxaliplatin, camptothecin, and topotecan.
7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the pharmaceutical formulation is delivered in combination with carboplatin.
