Substituted indolocarbazoles
A substituted indolocarbazole comprising at least one optionally substituted thienyl.
1. A substituted indolocarbazole of structure (F), (G), or (A-1):
wherein each R is independently selected from hydrogen, a hydrocarbon group and a heteroatom-containing group, and wherein the indolocarbazole is optionally peripherally substituted by one or more substituents independently selected from the group consisting of a hydrocarbon group, a heteroatom-containing group, and halogen; and
wherein (a) R is an alkyl group and (b) either:
(i) R′ is halogen and R″ is hydrogen; or
(ii) R′ is hydrogen and R″ is halogen.
2. The substituted indolocarbazole of claim 1 , having structure (3), (4), (7), (8), or (9):

4. The substituted indolocarbazole of claim 1 , wherein the two R groups are the same and are alkyl having from about 6 to about 18 carbon atoms.
