Quinoline derivatives as PI3 kinase inhibitors
Invented is a method of inhibiting the activity/function of PI3 kinases using quinoline derivatives. Also invented is a method of treating one or more disease states selected from: autoimmune disorders, inflammatory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, allergy, asthma, pancreatitis, multiorgan failure, kidney diseases, platelet aggregation, cancer, sperm motility, transplantation rejection, graft rejection and lung injuries by the administration of quinoline derivatives.
1. A method of treating an autoimmune disease or an inflammatory disease comprising administering to a human in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of 2,4-difluoro-N-{2-(methyloxy)-5-[4-(4-pyridazinyl)-6-quinolinyl]-3-pyridinyl}benzenesulfonamide, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

A method of treating an autoimmune disease or an inflammatory disease comprising administering to a human in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising 2,4-difluoro-N-{2-(methyloxy)-5-[4-(4-pyridazinyl)-6-quinolinyl]-3-pyridinyl}benzenesulfonamide, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
3. A method of treating an autoimmune disease or an inflammatory disease comprising administering to a human in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of 2,4-difluoro-N-{2-(methyloxy)-5-[4-(4-pyridazinyl)-6-quinolinyl]-3-pyridinyl}benzenesulfonamide.

The method of claim 1 wherein the autoimmune disease or inflammatory disease is selected from a group consisting of multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosis, inflammatory bowel disease, lung inflammation, thrombosis or brain infection/inflammation comprising meningitis and encephalitis.

The method of claim 2 wherein the autoimmune disease or inflammatory disease is selected from a group consisting of multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosis, inflammatory bowel disease, lung inflammation, thrombosis or brain infection/inflammation comprising meningitis and encephalitis.

The method of claim 3 wherein the autoimmune disease or inflammatory disease is selected from a group consisting of multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosis, inflammatory bowel disease, lung inflammation, thrombosis or brain infection/inflammation comprising meningitis and encephalitis.
7. The method of claim 1 wherein the autoimmune disease or inflammatory disease is psoriasis.
8. The method of claim 2 wherein the autoimmune disease or inflammatory disease is psoriasis.
9. The method of claim 3 wherein the autoimmune disease or inflammatory disease is psoriasis.
