Abstract

The present invention pertains to a terminal device, which, when ARQ is used for communication that uses an uplink unit band and a plurality of downlink unit bands associated with the uplink unit band, and when a transmission mode that supports up to 2 TB in a PCell is set in the terminal, is capable of reducing the amount of signaling from a base station while eliminating a lack of PUCCH resources when semi-permanent scheduling (SPS) is used in the PCell. A control unit ( 208 ) in this device selects one value among values obtained by adding 1 to four PUCCH resource indexes, which have been preset for PUCCH resource 1 by the base station, on the basis of values for transmission power control information (TPC command for PUCCH) in a PDCCH, for which notification has been received at the start of SPS.

Claims (40)

1. A terminal apparatus comprising:

a receiving section configured to receive downlink data transmitted on a first component carrier, for which a transmission mode is set to support up to two transport blocks;

an error detection section configured to perform error detection on the downlink data;

a selecting section configured to select a first physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource index from a plurality of PUCCH resource indices according to a transmission power control (TPC) command for an uplink control channel and to select a second PUCCH resource index from the plurality of PUCCH resource indices according to the selected first PUCCH resource index, when a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) is carried out for the first component carrier to periodically assign downlink resources; and

a transmitting section configured to map a response signal, which is indicative of a plurality of error detection results of the downlink data of the first component carrier, to both of a first PUCCH resource and a second PUCCH resource respectively indicated by the first PUCCH resource index and the second PUCCH resource index and to transmit the mapped response signal on an uplink component carrier, wherein

the selection of the first PUCCH resource index is performed by selecting a PUCCH resource index corresponding to a value of the TPC command; and

the selection of the second PUCCH resource index is performed by selecting another PUCCH resource indicated by a second index by adding 1 to the first PUCCH resource index.

2. The terminal apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

the plurality of PUCCH resource indices includes four PUCCH resource indices 1-4 and the TPC command is indicated by two bits;

when the value of the TPC command is 00, the first PUCCH resource index indicates PUCCH resource 1;

when the value of the TPC command is 01, the first PUCCH resource index indicates PUCCH resource 2;

when the value of the TPC command is 10, the first PUCCH resource index indicates PUCCH resource 3; and

when the value of the TPC command is 11, the first PUCCH resource index indicates PUCCH resource 4.

3. The terminal apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

the first component carrier is a primary cell (PCell), which is paired with said uplink component carrier; and

the receiving section receives, in addition to the downlink data transmitted on the first component carrier, downlink data transmitted on a second component carrier that is a secondary cell (SCell) different from the primary cell.

4. The terminal apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

the plurality of error detection results are a combination of an acknowledgement (ACK) indicating that an error was not detected, a negative-acknowledgement (NACK) indicating that an error was detected, and a discontinuous transmission (DTX) indicating that reception of a downlink control signal has failed.

5. The terminal apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

the TPC command is included in downlink control information, which indicates activation of said SPS.

6. A communication method comprising:

receiving downlink data transmitted on a first component carrier, for which a transmission mode is set to support up to two transport blocks;

performing error detection on the downlink data;

selecting a first physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource index from a plurality of PUCCH resource indices according to a transmission power control (TPC) command for an uplink control channel and selecting a second PUCCH resource index from the plurality of PUCCH resource indices according to the selected first PUCCH resource index, when a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) is carried out for the first component carrier to periodically assign downlink resources; and

mapping a response signal, which is indicative of a plurality of error detection results of the downlink data of the first component carrier, to both a first PUCCH resource and a second PUCCH resource respectively indicated by the first PUCCH resource index and the second PUCCH resource index and transmitting the mapped response signal on an uplink component carrier, wherein

the selection of the first PUCCH resource index is performed by selecting a PUCCH resource index corresponding to a value of the TPC command; and

the selection of the second PUCCH resource index is performed by selecting another PUCCH resource index by adding 1 to the first PUCCH resource index.

7. The communication method according to claim 6 , wherein

the plurality of PUCCH resource indices includes four PUCCH resource indices 1-4 and the TPC command is indicated by two bits;

when the value of the TPC command is 00, the first PUCCH resource index indicates PUCCH resource 1;

when the value of the TPC command is 01, the first PUCCH resource index indicates PUCCH resource 2;

when the value of the TPC command is 10, the first PUCCH resource index indicates PUCCH resource 3; and

when the value of the TPC command is 11, the first PUCCH resource index indicates PUCCH resource 4.

8. The communication method according to claim 6 , wherein

the first component carrier is a primary cell (PCell), which is paired with said uplink component carrier; and

the communication method further comprises receiving, in addition to the downlink data transmitted on the first component carrier, downlink data transmitted on a second component carrier that is a secondary cell (SCell) different from the primary cell.

9. The communication method according to claim 6 , wherein

the plurality of error detection results are a combination of an acknowledgement (ACK) indicating that an error was not detected, a negative-acknowledgement (NACK) indicating that an error was detected, and a discontinuous transmission (DTX) indicating that reception of a downlink control signal has failed.
