Abstract

This invention provides a compound having the structure wherein R 1 is H, wherein n and q are independently an integer from 0 to 8; A is absent or present and when present is wherein m is an integer from 0 to 8; R 3 is an amino, alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, diol, piperazine, morpholine, piperidine, triazole, azide or biphenyl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched, or and R 4 is alkyl, aryl, or heteroaryl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched, R 2 is H, CH 3 , or alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, pyrrole, diazole, or triazole, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched, or wherein n and q are independently an integer from 0 to 8; A is absent or present and when present is and R 6 is azide, methoxy, trifluoromethyl, biphenyl, substituted phenyl, substituted triazole, or alkyl, aryl or heteroaryl, with or without substitution, branched or unbranched, when R 1 is H then R 2 is other than H or CH 3 , and when R 2 is H or CH 3 then R 1 is other than H, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

Claims (172)

1. A compound having the structure

wherein R 1 is H,

wherein

n and q are independently an integer from 0 to 8;

A is absent or present and when present is

wherein m is an integer from 0 to 8;

R 3 is an amino, alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, diol, piperazine, morpholine, piperidine, triazole, azide or biphenyl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched, or

and

R 4 is alkyl, aryl, or heteroaryl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched,

R 2 is H, alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, pyrrole, diazole, or triazole, each with or without substitution, or

wherein

n and q are independently an integer from 0 to 8;

A is present and when present is

R 6 is azide, methoxy, trifluoromethyl, biphenyl, substituted phenyl, substituted triazole, or alkyl, aryl or heteroaryl, with or without substitution, branched or unbranched, or

A is absent; and

R 6 is azide, methoxy, trifluoromethyl, biphenyl, substituted phenyl, substituted triazole, aryl or heteroaryl,

when R 1 is H then R 2 is other than H, and when R 2 is H, then R 1 is other than H,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

2. A compound having the structure

wherein R 1 is

wherein

n and q are independently an integer from 0 to 8;

A is absent or present and when present is

wherein m is an integer from 0 to 8;

R 3 is an amino, aryl, heteroaryl, diol, piperazine, morpholine, piperidine, triazole, azide or biphenyl, each with or without substitution, or

and

R 4 is alkyl, aryl, or heteroaryl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched,

R 2 is H, CH 3 , or alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, pyrrole, diazole, or triazole, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched, or

wherein

n and q are independently an integer from 0 to 8;

A is absent or present and when present is

R 6 is azide, methoxy, trifluoromethyl, biphenyl, substituted phenyl, substituted triazole, or alkyl, aryl or heteroaryl, with or without substitution, branched or unbranched,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

3. A compound having the structure

wherein R 1 is H,

wherein

n and q are independently an integer from 0 to 8;

A is

wherein m is an integer from 0 to 8;

R 3 is alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, diol, piperazine, morpholine, piperidine, or biphenyl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched, or

and

R 4 is alkyl, aryl, or heteroaryl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched,

R 2 is H, CH 3 , aryl, heteroaryl, pyrrole, diazole, or triazole, each with or without substitution, or

wherein

n and q are independently an integer from 0 to 8;

A is

R 6 is alkyl, aryl or heteroaryl, with or without substitution, branched or unbranched, or

when R 1 is H then R 2 is other than H or CH 3 , and when R 2 is H or CH 3 then R 1 is other than H,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

4. A compound having the structure

wherein R 1 is

wherein

n and q are independently an integer from 0 to 8;

A is

wherein m is an integer from 0 to 8;

R 3 is alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, diol, piperazine, morpholine, piperidine, or biphenyl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched, or

and

R 4 is alkyl, aryl, or heteroaryl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched,

R 2 is H, CH 3 , or alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, pyrrole, diazole, or triazole, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched, or

wherein

n and q are independently an integer from 0 to 8;

A is

and

R 6 is alkyl, aryl or heteroaryl, with or without substitution, branched or unbranched,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

5. The compound of claim 4 wherein R 1 is

wherein

n and q are independently an integer from 0 to 8; and

R 3 is alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, diol, piperazine, morpholine, piperidine, or biphenyl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched;

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

6. The compound of claim 5 wherein R 3 is

wherein

m is an integer from 0-8;

X is F, Cl, Br, phenyl, or C 1 -C 4 alkyl;

Y is N or C; and

Y 1 is N or C,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

7. The compound of claim 6 having the structure

wherein

n and m are each independently an integer from 0 to 8;

X is F, Cl, Br, phenyl, or C 1 -C 4 alkyl;

Y is N or C; and

Y 1 is N or C,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

8. The compound of claim 4 , wherein R 1 is

wherein

n is an integer from 0 to 8; and

R 4 is alkyl, aryl, or heteroaryl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

9. The compound of claim 8 having the structure

wherein

n is an integer from 0 to 8; and

R 4 is alkyl, aryl, or heteroaryl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

10. The compound of claim 1 wherein R 2 is

wherein

n is an integer from 0-8;

X is H, Cl, F, Br, phenyl, CO 2 H, or aryl or C 1 -C 4 alkyl each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched; and

Y is C, O, S, or N,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

11. The compound of claim 2 wherein R 2 is

wherein

n is an integer from 0-8;

X is H, Cl, F, Br, phenyl, CO 2 H, or aryl or C 1 -C 4 alkyl each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched; and

Y is C, O, S, or N,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

12. The compound of claim 3 having the structure

wherein n is an integer from 0-8;

X is F, Cl, Br, phenyl, or CO 2 H; and

Y is N or C,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

13. The compound of claim 3 having the structure

wherein n is an integer from 0-8;

X is F, Cl, Br, phenyl, or CO 2 H; and

Y is N or C,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

14. The compound of claim 10 having the structure

wherein n is an integer from 0 to 8,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

15. The compound of claim 3 wherein R 2 is

wherein

n is an integer from 0-8; and

R 5 is alkyl, aryl, or heteroaryl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

16. The compound of claim 15 having the structure

wherein

n is an integer from 0-8; and

R 5 is alkyl, aryl, or heteroaryl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

17. The compound of claim 3 wherein R 2 is

wherein

n and q are independently an integer from 0 to 8;

A is

and

R 6 is alkyl, aryl or heteroaryl, with or without substitution, branched or unbranched,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

18. The compound of claim 4 wherein R 2 is

wherein

n and q are independently an integer from 0 to 8;

A is

and

R 6 is alkyl, aryl or heteroaryl, with or without substitution, branched or unbranched,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

19. The compound of claim 17 having the structure

wherein

n and m are each independently an integer from 0 to 8;

and R 6 is alkyl, aryl or heteroaryl, each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

20. The compound of claim 19 wherein R 6 is

wherein

n is an integer from 0-8;

X is H, Cl, F, Br, phenyl, CO 2 H, or aryl or C 1 -C 4 alkyl each with or without substitution, branched or unbranched; and

Y is C, O, S, or N,

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

21. The compound of claim 1 wherein R 1 is

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

22. The compound of claim 2 wherein R 1 is

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

23. The compound of claim 1 wherein R 2 is

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

24. The compound of claim 2 wherein R 2 is

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

25. The compound of claim 1 having the structure

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

26. The compound of claim 1 having the structure

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

27. The compound of claim 3 having the structure

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

28. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

29. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of claim 2 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

30. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of claim 3 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

31. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of claim 4 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
