Calcilytic compounds
Novel calcilytic compounds and methods of using them are provided.
1. A method of treating periodontal disease, which comprises the administration to a subject in need of treatment thereof an effective amount of a compound selected from: 3-{3,4-Difluoro-5-[(R)-2-hydroxy-3-(2-indan-2-yl-1,1-dimethyl-ethylamino)-propoxy]-phenyl}-propionic acid and 3-{3,4-Difluoro-5-[(R)-2-hydroxy-3-(2-indan-2-yl-1,1-dimethyl-ethylamino)-propoxy]-phenyl}-propionic acid ethyl ester; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the compound administered is 3-{3,4-Difluoro-5-[(R)-2-hydroxy-3-(2-indan-2-yl-1,1-dimethyl-ethylamino)-propoxy]-phenyl}-propionic acid.
3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the compound administered is a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the compound 3-{3,4-Difluoro-5-[(R)-2-hydroxy-3-(2-indan-2-yl-1,1-dimethyl-ethylamino)-propoxy]-phenyl}-propionic acid.
4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the compound administered is 3-{3,4-Difluoro-5-[(R)-2-hydroxy-3-(2-indan-2-yl-1,1-dimethyl-ethylamino)-propoxy]-phenyl}-propionic acid hydrochloride.
5. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the compound administered is 3-{3,4-Difluoro-5-[(R)-2-hydroxy-3-(2-indan-2-yl-1,1-dimethyl-ethylamino)-propoxy]-phenyl}-propionic acid ethyl ester.
6. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the compound administered is a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the compound 3-{3,4-Difluoro-5-[(R)-2-hydroxy-3-(2-indan-2-yl-1,1-dimethyl-ethylamino)-propoxy]-phenyl}-propionic acid ethyl ester.
7. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the compound administered is 3-{3,4-Difluoro-5-[(R)-2-hydroxy-3-(2-indan-2-yl-1,1-dimethyl-ethylamino)-propoxy]-phenyl}-propionic acid ethyl ester hydrochloride.
