Heterocyclic compound
The present invention relates to wherein each symbol is as defined in the specification. The compound of the present invention has a superior RBP4-lowering action, and is useful as a medicament for the prophylaxis or treatment of disease and condition mediated by increased RBP4.
1. A compound represented by the formula

ring A is benzene optionally further substituted by 1 to 3 substituents selected from the group consisting of (1) a halogen atom, (2) an optionally halogenated C 1-6 alkyl group and (3) an optionally halogenated C 1-6 alkoxy group;
R 1 is an optionally substituted branched C 3-6 alkyl group;
X 1 is O;
X 2 is a C 1-3 alkylene group;
ring B is piperidine;
X 3 is CO; and
R 2 is an acyl group,
or a salt thereof.
2. The compound according to claim 1 , wherein R 1 is an isopropyl group or a tert-butyl group.
3. The compound according to claim 1 , wherein X 2 is methylene.

R 1 is an isopropyl group or a tert-butyl group;

9. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound according to claim 1 or salt thereof and a pharmacologically acceptable carrier.
