Abstract

A method for generating Acknowledgement/Negative Acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) information at a user equipment in a wireless communication system. The method according to one embodiment includes receiving a plurality of transport blocks through a plurality of downlink carriers from a base station. Each of the plurality of downlink carriers carries two or more transport blocks. The method according to the embodiment further includes generating the ACK/NACK information by concatenating ACK/NACK bits corresponding to the plurality of transport blocks. The ACK/NACK bits are concatenated using an index order of the downlink carriers and an index order of the two or more transport blocks associated with each of the downlink carriers. The index order of the downlink carriers is used firstly.

Claims (20)

1. A method for generating Acknowledgement/Negative Acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) information at a user equipment in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving a plurality of codewords corresponding to data blocks through a plurality of downlink carriers from a base station, wherein each of the plurality of downlink carriers carries two or more codewords; and

generating the ACK/NACK information by concatenating ACK/NACK bits corresponding to the plurality of codewords,

wherein ACK/NACK bits corresponding to the two or more codewords carried by each of the plurality of downlink carriers are concatenated in accordance with an index order of a corresponding one of the data blocks, and

wherein the ACK/NACK bits concatenated in accordance with the index order of the corresponding one of the data blocks are concatenated again in accordance with an index order of a corresponding one of the plurality of downlink carriers.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

transmitting the ACK/NACK information through one uplink carrier to the base station.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the ACK/NACK information is transmitted through a physical uplink control channel of the one uplink carrier.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein a number of codewords received through each of the plurality of downlink carriers depends on a transmission mode for each of the plurality of downlink carriers.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein a number of codewords received through each of the plurality of downlink carriers is configured by a higher layer.

6. A user equipment comprising:

a receiving module configured to receive a plurality of codewords corresponding to data blocks through a plurality of downlink carriers from a base station, wherein each of the plurality of downlink carriers carries two or more codewords; and

a processor configured to generate Acknowledgement/Negative Acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) information by concatenating ACK/NACK bits corresponding to the plurality of codewords,

wherein ACK/NACK bits corresponding to the two or more codewords carried by each of the plurality of downlink carriers are concatenated in accordance with an index order of a corresponding one of the data blocks, and

wherein the ACK/NACK bits concatenated in accordance with the index order of the corresponding one of the data blocks are concatenated again in accordance with an index order of a corresponding one of the plurality of downlink carriers.

7. The user equipment of claim 6 , further comprising:

a transmitting module configured to transmit the ACK/NACK information through one uplink carrier to the base station.

8. The user equipment of claim 7 , wherein the ACK/NACK information is transmitted through a physical uplink control channel of the one uplink carrier.

9. The user equipment of claim 6 , wherein a number of codewords received through each of the plurality of downlink carriers depends on a transmission mode for each of the plurality of downlink carriers.

10. The user equipment of claim 6 , wherein a number of codewords received through each of the plurality of downlink carriers is configured by a higher layer.
