Abstract

Adaptable fishing lure kits, systems, and devices are provided. An adaptable fishing lure system may include a fishing lure body having a generally cylindrical shape, a fin member replaceably attachable to the fishing lure body, via a slot formed within an outer periphery surface of the lure body, and a channel chamber longitudinally extending through and within at least a portion of a length of the fishing lure body. The slot providing access to the channel, at least one cartridge providing an attractant into the chamber formed within the fishing lure body. Alternative use of an adhesive and means for securing a fin member and attractant are provided.

Claims (75)

1. An adaptable fishing lure system, comprising:

a fishing lure body having an elongate shape;

a fin member replaceably attachable to the fishing lure body;

said fin member being selected from a group containing: a limb member, a leg member, a claw-member, a fin, and a paddle-tail;

at least one chamber extending within at least a portion along a length of the fishing lure body;

a slot formed within an outer surface of the fishing lure body, the slot providing access to the at least one chamber;

at least one means for replaceably receiving and securing the fin member in said fishing lure body and for projecting the fin member from said fishing lure body;

at least one cartridge being operably configurable to provide a stimulant during a use thereof; and

the at least one chamber formed within the fishing lure body, the chamber being configured to receive the cartridge therein via said slot, the chamber being accessible during a use thereof.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein:

said stimulant is selected from the group consisting of at least one of light, sound, weight, vibration, taste, and smell.

3. The system of claim 2 , wherein:

the fishing lure body is formed from a resilient material.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein:

the fishing lure body is formed from a flexible material.

5. The system of claim 1 , further comprising:

a plurality of access openings from said outer surface of said fishing lure body to said chamber whereby a fish bite causes the actuation of stimulant of the cartridge and a dispensment outward from said lure through said access openings.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein:

the fin member includes a through hole, the fishing lure body includes a hole, and further comprising a pin receivable through the through hole of the fin member and the hole of the fishing lure body to secure the fin member to the fishing lure body.

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the fin member includes generally opposing fins and two generally symmetrical halves.

8. The system of claim 7 , wherein the halves of the fin member resemble feet in swimming motion.

9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the cartridge provides a weight that causes an erratic motion of the fishing lure body when moving through water when the cartridge is positioned within the chamber.

10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the fishing lure body includes two generally symmetrical segments that are separable from one another.

11. The system of claim 1 , wherein the cartridge is selectively insertable into one of a plurality of the at least one chamber, the chambers being spaced apart from one another along a length of the fishing lure body.

12. The system of claim 1 , wherein:

the fin member further comprises an engagement profile for engaging with said lure body;

said engagement profile being one of a channel, a lip, and a lure encircling portion formed on said fin member; and

said engagement profile engaging with said lure during a securement therewith to prevent an unintended separation therefrom.

13. The system of claim 1 , wherein:

said fin member further includes an adhesive portion for adhesively engaging with said lure body.

14. The system of claim 1 , further comprising:

an adhesive portion on one of said lure body and said fin member, whereby during a use thereof said adhesive portion adhesively engages with said lure body.

15. The fishing lure body of claim 12 , further comprising at least one receiving structure configured to secure a fin member to the fishing lure body without use of a securing pin member.

16. The fishing lure body of claim 13 , wherein:

the at least one receiving structure includes a hole formed in a peripheral surface of the fishing lure body, the hole being configured to receive a pin therein such that the pin secures the fin member to a peripheral surface of the fishing lure body when the pin is inserted through a hole of the fin member and is inserted into the hole of the fishing lure body.

17. A fishing lure kit, comprising:

a package for removably binding a plurality of fishing lure assembly members comprising:

a fishing lure body, the fishing lure body including a chamber extending through and within at least a portion along a length of the fishing lure body, a slot being formed in an outer periphery surface of the fishing lure body and accessing the chamber, the chamber being accessible via the slot;

at least one fin member replaceably attachable within the fishing lure body in said slot; and

at least one cartridge configured to provide a stimulant, the cartridge configured to be received within at least one of the channel and the chamber of the fishing lure body.

18. The fishing lure kit of claim 17 , wherein the stimulant provided by the at least one cartridge includes at least one of a sound, light, and scent.

19. The fishing lure kit of claim 18 , further comprising: a locking pin, the locking pin being configured to be inserted through the at least one fin member and into the fishing lure body to releasably secure the fin member to the fishing lure body.

20. The fishing lure kit of claim 19 , further comprising:

an adhesive member for adhesively securing the at least one fin member to the fishing lure body.

21. The fishing lure kit of claim 20 , further comprising:

a securing structure on said at least one fin member for releasably securing the fin member to the fishing body; and

said securing structure including at least one structure selected from a group consisting of a channel, a lip, and an encircling portion.

22. The fishing lure kit of claim 17 , wherein:

said at least one fin member is selected from a group containing: a limb member, a leg member, a claw-member, a fin, and a paddle-tail.

23. An adaptable fishing lure system, comprising:

a fishing lure body having an elongate shape;

a fin member replaceably attachable to the fishing lure body;

said fin member being selected from a group containing: a limb member, a leg member, a claw-member, a fin, and a paddle-tail;

at least one means for replaceably receiving and securing the fin member to said fishing lure body and for projecting the fin member from said fishing lure body;

the fin member further comprises an engagement profile for engaging with said lure body;

said engagement profile engaging with said lure during a securement therewith to prevent an unintended separation from said fishing lure body;

at least one chamber extending within at least a portion along a length of the fishing lure body;

a slot formed within an outer surface of the fishing lure body, the slot providing access to the at least one chamber;

the at least one chamber formed within the fishing lure body, the chamber being configured to receive a cartridge therein via said slot, the chamber being accessible during a use thereof.
