Cyclohexyl sulfone RORγ modulators
Described are RORγ modulators of the formula (I), or stereoisomers, tautomers, pharmaceutically acceptable salts, solvates, or prodrugs thereof, wherein all substituents are defined herein. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions comprising the same. Such compounds and compositions are useful in methods for modulating RORγ activity in a cell and methods for treating a subject suffering from a disease or disorder in which the subject would therapeutically benefit from modulation of RORγ activity, for example, autoimmune and/or inflammatory disorders.

or R f is, independently at each occurrence, an optionally substituted —(CH 2 ) r -5-10 membered heterocycle comprising carbon atoms and 1-4 heteroatoms selected from N, O, and S(O), phenyl or C 3-6 cycloalkyl, each group optionally substituted with halo, CN, CF 3 , C 1-6 alkyl or O(C 1-6 alkyl);
q and n are independently selected from 0, 1, 2 and 3;
p is 0, 1, or 2; and
r is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4.
2. A compound according to claim 1 , or a stereoisomer or pharmaceutically-acceptable salt thereof, wherein R 1′ is CF 3 .
3. A compound according to claim 1 , or a stereoisomer or pharmaceutically-acceptable salt thereof, wherein
R 1 is halo, phenyl substituted with 0-3 R a , or C 1-6 alkyl substituted with 0-3 R a ; and
R 1a is, independently at each occurrence, hydrogen, CF 3 , halo, C 1-6 alkyl substituted with 0-3 R a , —(CH 2 ) r OR b , and —(CH 2 ) r -phenyl substituted with 0-3 R f .

A method of treating a disease or disorder selected from an autoimmune disease or disorder, asthma, an allergic disease or disorder, a metabolic disease or disorder, and cancer in a subject, wherein the disease or disorder is selected from psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and multiple sclerosis, said method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically-effective amount of a compound according to claim 1 .
