Abstract

Control of supplying power to a storage device is performed based on carbon emission strength or a power rate. A battery center 13 that constitutes a storage device 11 performs radio communication with a gateway 4 and is controlled by the gateway 4 . The gateway 4 collects a measured value of power consumed by electric appliances in a home and obtains the carbon emission strength in real time. A solar panel 9 is provided and a battery of the storage device 11 is charged with an output of the solar panel. The battery is also charged with direct current power obtained from power from outside. The power is stored in the storage device 11 based on the carbon emission strength by charging control.

Claims (37)

1. A power control device, comprising:

a storage device configured to store power;

a carbon emission strength information acquisition device configured to acquire a first information of a carbon emission strength of power;

a control device configured to control the storage device to at least one of store the power or supply the power based on a change of the first information of the carbon emission strength of power,

wherein a scale of total carbon emission strength is calculated based on a ratio between a total energy amount and a carbon cost for generation of the total energy amount; and

a display device configured to present the scale of total carbon emission strength.

2. The power control device according to claim 1 , further comprising:

a rate information acquisition device configured to acquire a second information of a power rate of the supplied power,

wherein the control device is further configured to control the storage device to at least one of store the power or supply the power based on the change of the first information of the carbon emission strength of power and a change of the second information of the power rate.

3. The power control device according to claim 1 , further comprising:

a generation device configured to generate the power.

4. The power control device according to claim 3 , wherein the power generated by the generation device is renewable energy.

5. The power control device according to claim 3 , wherein one of charge or discharge of the power generated by the generation device is controlled based on a carbon emission strength of supplied power.

6. The power control device according to claim 1 , wherein the control device is further configured to be remotely-controlled from outside the power control device.

7. The power control device according to claim 1 , wherein a third information of power consumed is transmitted to an external server through a network, and the first information of the carbon emission strength of power is acquired from the external server through the network.

8. The power control device according to claim 1 , wherein the control device is further configured to minimize a total carbon emission strength by power consumption based on an algorithm of the control device.

9. The power control device according to claim 8 ,

wherein the storage device is further configured to store the power based on the algorithm when the carbon emission strength is low.

10. The power control device according to claim 8 ,

wherein the control device is further configured to minimize a cost of the power consumption based on the algorithm.

11. The power control device according to claim 8 ,

wherein the storage device is further configured to store the power based on the algorithm when a power rate is low, and

cause the storage device supply the power when a power rate is high.

12. The power control device according to claim 10 , wherein the cost includes deterioration of the storage device.

13. The power control device according to claim 1 ,

wherein the display device is further configured to identifiably display proportions of electric energy supplied from outside the power control device and electric energy internally generated within the power control device.

14. A power control method, the method comprising:

in a power control device:

storing power in a storage device;

supplying the power from the storage device;

acquiring a first information of a carbon emission strength of power;

controlling the storage device to at least one of store the power or supply the power based on a change of the first information of the carbon emission strength of power,

wherein a scale of total carbon emission strength is calculated based on a ratio between a total energy amount and a carbon cost for generation of the total energy amount; and

presenting the scale of total carbon emission strength on a display device.

15. The power control method according to claim 14 , further comprising:

acquiring a second information of a power rate of supplied power; and

controlling the storage device to at least one of store the power or supply the power based on the change of the first information of the carbon emission strength or a change of the second information in relation to the power rate.
