Abstract

A broadcast signal transmission method according to one embodiment of the present invention can comprise the steps of: generating service data of a broadcast service, wherein the service data includes a service component included in the broadcast service; generating service signaling information for signaling the broadcast service; and transmitting a broadcast signal including the service data and the service signaling information.

Claims (13)

1. A method of transmitting a broadcast signal, the method comprising:

generating service layer signaling (SLS) information for at least one broadcast service, the at least one broadcast service consisting of one or more continuous video components, one or more continuous audio components and one or more closed caption components;

generating low level signaling information for providing bootstrap information that allows a receiver to discover the SLS information for the at least one broadcast service, wherein the bootstrap information includes a destination IP address and a destination port of a MPEG media transport protocol (MMTP) session carrying MMTP-specific SLS; and

transmitting the broadcast signal for the at least one broadcast service,

wherein a MMTP message is delivered by the MMTP session signaled in the low level signaling information,

wherein the MMTP message includes a caption asset descriptor, and

wherein the caption asset descriptor includes 3D support information for representing a closed caption support for both 2D and 3D video or 2D video only, and profile information for representing image captions or text captions.

2. A broadcast signal transmission device comprising:

a signaling generation unit configured to generate service layer signaling (SLS) information for at least one broadcast service, the at least one broadcast service consisting of one or more continuous video components, one or more continuous audio components and one or more closed caption components, wherein the signaling generation unit is configured to generate low level signaling information for providing bootstrap information that allows a receiver to discover the SLS information for the at least one broadcast service, further the bootstrap information includes a destination IP address and a destination port of a MPEG media transport protocol (MMTP) session carrying MMTP-specific SLS; and

a transmitter configured to transmit the broadcast signal for the at least one broadcast service,

wherein a MMTP message is delivered by the MMTP session signaled in the low level signaling information,

wherein the MMTP message includes a caption asset descriptor, and

wherein the caption asset descriptor includes 3D support information for representing a closed caption support for both 2D and 3D video or 2D video only, and profile information for representing image captions or text captions.
